  1. Cool! Those wheels look great on it. I've built a few of those and it is one of my favorite cars. Thanks,
  2. I missed this the first time around. Looks like a very interesting project been mostly metal. For the seam I would recommend Milliput fine grain putty. It doesn't shrink and sands beautifully. The car in the reference pic is gorgeous. I'll follow this one, as long as you don't hot rod it Thanks,
  3. That is beautiful! Wow!
  4. Looking great Jim! I'm loving this project. Is the grille opening the correct size or is it a tad small? Maybe the chrome molding makes it look smaller. This body needs to be casted Don't worry about the timeframe. You may finish it by the time I'm done with Danica's car. Regards,
  5. Cool! I think that's the best color for that car. Personally, I prefer the coupe over the roadster. Thanks,
  6. Cool! I'll check it out. I'm a big cooking enthusiast....
  7. - Don't be frugal. Be generous! If you try to save 1/32 of an inch cutting it too short you will end up throwing away 4 square inches.... - Get the enlarged combo of patience. Work slow.
  8. David, I ran out of words for your work long ago. And this makes it even harder. What a sight! Of course that makes yet another subject I'm not even consider trying You made justice to one of the most beautiful sounding cars ever! Thanks,
  9. I was about to post the sad news. You beat me to it As a pace car promo collector myself, this is very sad indeed There goes my hopes for a ZR1 or other pace cars kits :D
  10. ehhh, mmmhhh, ahhhhhh, oooohhh! WOW! Gee, Thanks Dave! Another subject I'll never attempt after seeing yours. Thanks,
  11. You did a great job on it! That car was a favorite of mine as well. I can't believe it has been 20+ years already!
  12. Love to see updates on this. Keep 'em coming! Thanks,
  13. Nice SSK! Looks very sporty. That's maybe how AMG may have done it back in the day Thanks,
  14. It was a great race. The intensity at the end was amazing. It is great to see the name Donahue and Porsche winning. OK I confess. I don't like Montoya so I was happy he was beaten Great race but I have to ask: Why in the world did they never show or mention what car was in what position? I watched for a few hours trying to figure out what car was in what position because they only mention drivers, and the ticker thing in the screen was the same. Only driver's name. It was quite confusing. Their website was no help either. Maybe it's a licensing issue and everytime they show or say the name Pontiac, Porsche or Mazda they need to pay a royalty Thanks,
  15. Nice problem to have If I had to choose between those 2 only, I'd go with the Porsche. Far better handling while having good power. Most likely better fuel economy and more reliable. Parts and maintenance are no longer cheap in any car. Check both for fit, finish and materials: Porsche wins again. A decade from now, the Porsche will still feel solid. Not so sure about the Challenger. Personally, I prefer the looks of the Porsche. However: If I were in that situation: I'd also look at a new Corvette Z51 (Jetstream blue with the upgraded interior) or a new Cayman S....... but that's just me. If not in a hurry, maybe wait to see if the CTS-V coupe materializes. Thanks,
  16. Hello everybody, It was brought to my attention a possible link hijack of Scalecorvettes.com If you use the web address without the www it will take you to a site of questionable contents. Make sure you type or use the COMPLETE address: http : / / www.scalecorvettes.com I'm investigating this with the server admins. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks,
  17. Great job as usual! That is the brightest red I've seen. Must be even more impressive in person. Thanks,
  18. Jim, It is evident that you know what you are doing. That is some great work there. I think it is worth casting in resin once you are done with the bodywork. I would be interested since the kit is not that hard to find. Maybe Jeff from Time Machine Resin? Thanks,
  19. Cool! One of my favorite cars. Looking forward to see it finished. I've had one in primer for over 3 years. I need to get back to it.... eventually Thanks,
  20. I'm one of those fellow MCM members There are no cars in my workbench right now and it seems there will be none in the near future. I'm currently building helicopters, airliners and will soon start on a cargo plane project. Here is a link to my current primary project. This is my entry into the ARC Forum Airliners Group Build: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=174379 Thanks,
  21. Thanks Aaron! Yes it is. If you click on the link there are a few more pictures and a brief history of both the aircraft and the model. I have another one and I'm thinking of doing it as a What If SAR or Firefighter. Thanks,
  22. Clean build. Very nice color.
  23. Hello, I know you mean brushable paints, but this may help. The main fuselage, wing roots and skids of this model were painted with WalMart's $1.49 rattle can Aluminum paint. There are 3 tricks for this to work: Shake the heck out of it (warm it if needed), thin coats and a perfectly smooth surface. The primer was polished before several thin coats were applied. Then the paint was again color sanded before final light coats. More pictures here: http://www.puertoriconet.com/images/xv1/ Hope this helps. Thanks,
  24. WOW! That's one of the best engine compartments I've ever seen. Thanks,
