Personally, a much better modern kit of the '67-'72 Chevy, with separate chassis, and correct taillights, would be a hit. Classic Dodge Sweptside would be cool. WW2 Dodge Powerwagen, I know there *was* a resin kit, good luck finding one. The old Federal and Diamond T would be different.

OMG hope not, I've spent a few bucks collecting some. ? IMHO seeing the "reproduced from official factory prints" is a joke, the tailights are horrid, the chassis is toy-like, typical of the day. If anyone bothered to do it right, they would start from scratch. Otherwise, keeping my eye on this topic!

Good thing you started this topic! Bill helped a bunch, I looked further into the tape lights, bookmarked. Once you get them, should test in various size cardboard boxes. I'm betting that if the box is too small, the lights would drown/flood the car and be too much glare. I'm posting this shadowbox diorama, last century there was an artist in Prescott who was famous for these, Bob Hope had some. He had to do with the incandescent tube light bulbs behind the blue shield at the top, which I assume washed down the sky background nicely. Hope this helps.

I had to fix the headlight covers, they were upside down, good thing used Elmers clear, plus I detail painted the rim. I poured sand into a cooking pan, knocked the bottom to create something like drifts, and made tracks. Had to aim down to avoid the lack of a proper background. My sophisticated photo "booth". ?

Final post on this subject..... took some finished pictures. This was a nice break from doing cars. Military modelers are bloody insane, with the microscopic photo-etch details, and individual track links. ? I did the usual flat clear mixed with Africa Korps tan, adding brown for the final coat. Then dusted with tile grout.

That's sweet! Now I want to hunt down an X19 kit. ? Body-in-white, might be why WRC rally is so popular in Europe, and they race on real roads too. It's an almost unknown racing thing in the USA, I've worked numerous rallies, lucky if a dozen people show up to watch a stage. I think it's because there aren't hotdog and beer vendors out in the middle of nowhere. Sorry to veer off topic. Educate me on what the big deal is.
