  1. Is it just me.... every new box of dinner (mac & cheese for example), it's always the last side I look at, that has the instructions in a font smaller than the ingredients?
  2. Depends on which County, what we call The State Of Maricopa (Phoenix) and Pima (Tucson) have emission testers who will wreck your stick shift old car (paging Russell Cook). I live in Yavapai County which is considered rural, no tests required. So everyone is retiring and moving here from California so they could have cool old vehicles. And you are showing your age too. ðŸĪŠ
  3. At a model show I was selling kits in the swap, one young guy was like you know [speaking like one] indignant that we are all into just cash, I had just started Zelle one time before so we figured it out. Many will accept the Chip without question.
  4. I'm glad someone else has the guts to resurrect "bring out your dead" that a passed member had for motivating us. It worked before, but I haven't done anything since the very last GSL. But I have been busy, been on a jag about collecting rocks to finish the yard, which has bled over into fixing up my California Pit Stop diorama (in my icon pic) with adding cool tiny scale rocks and fixing the grass. Glued some rocks on another diorama today. I have several WIP on the forum that ground to halt.
  5. Sometimes I feel (not think) that Bill is taunting me for some reason. ðŸĪŠ Without involving the process of how taxes are levied and then blown .... I mean "invested", this discussion won't last long. I feel that 1000% of high school graduates will do something stupid in their life, if they get past Prom night. My parents talked about the weather, now we hurl insults at one another and the climate will still change. My (now ex) wife got elected on to a school board, and that experience opened my eyes up like getting into a brawl, it was ugly, so I have nothing positive to add. Good thing our "smart phones" have calculators. ðŸĪĢ And A.I. along with 3D printing is going to save us from ourselves.
  6. I'm laughing because *I know right?* Same with houses, places such as Jackson Hole WY is insane to exist in, can't imagine being a service worker. Prescott is becoming such a haven, and don't get me going. I enjoyed seeing your posts about your awful job /sarc off/ and hope you don't stroke out, sticking it out while you can. I hated my career at the end. Wasn't there a Steve McQueen car, the reserve was higher than everyone thought was insane and it didn't sell. Don't tell anyone, but I know the owner of Ferrari #1, was shown at Palm Springs a couple decades ago, he has had insane offers but will die with it, there is a son. 😏 So I believe you 100%.
  7. Pictures or it didn't happen. ðŸĪŠ (the traveling abroad tangent is interesting) JDM at the Prescott Cars & Coffee. There have been a bunch around lately, Embry Riddle University is here. I know Skyline is a halo car. But I never heard of much less seen one of these wagons. At first I thought it was a custom Volvo TR5. The young man with this Subie seemed excited that I knew something about Imprezas. Different engine. Notice I'm pointing to the Arizona Hysterical Vehicle copper plate, anything over 25 years old. Makes me feel really old, I read about these in magazines when they were new. It's just funny to me seeing Japanese cars with these plates now. But I'm glad to see the next generation being into them, better than some alternatives like hoarding model kits. 🙄
  8. Mo rain falling!
  9. That blows! Sounds like you are okay, just ticked off for good reason.
  10. Me: $88M Mike $25M Bill: ? Steve: ? Dan: $50M M. Hill: $100+ Andrew: Yikes Bruce: +$100M M. Fischer: ?
  11. Since I'm a Gemini, my persona here is always giving the benefit of the doubt more than one time, and I'm always telling myself to find a model thread and encourage the person, not just say the headlights are not lined up perfectly. Just like at contests, everyone knows this is a hobby and not a job (a few exceptions of course). It helps to be an adult too. Fakebook is another story for me. ðŸĪ Any group takes on the character of the Admin team. I saw one group that intentionally encouraged dishing on people, so I avoided them. Now I'm sick of all the A.I. "nature" shots, and reading people say they been there. Having (things not allowed on this forum) pushed into my face is also wasting my time.
  12. As of 7AM it's raining and foggy. I'm close to what Russell got, just put the glass rain gauge away because it's getting near freezing at night. Been having fires in the woodstove most of the day so I'm okay with it looking like WA state. Got a walk in a couple days ago.
  13. I've been there done that too! 😄 Kept me from messing up a paint job second time from becoming #3, built a little resin fighter plane.
  14. I thought only the Lindberg 1:20 was it, thanks for this information. I have a friend with several real S-10s, and I've been teasing him about getting a Syclone/Typhoon.
  15. I talked to the crew about this here post, we laughed. But not as hard ðŸĪĢ as seeing the Tesla drive over the hump and lose it's cute trailer. The Ditch Witch equipment was taken away today, going back to CA. They said there are crews working 7/12 in the Palisades wildfire area replacing all the utilities. There were three racks of 15' long pipe. One (of many trucks) hooking up the recycle trailer. Now I see the augers used to anchor the 19,000 pound machine. The operator opened the doors for me, this is the hydraulic area. That's the end of my presentation, just the weathering should be fun to duplicate.
  16. Changed an "Irk" to this thread, even though it cost a small fortune. Before: After: There was a leak under the slab. Lucky that I had custom (with plywood not high end) base cabinets built higher than normal, so the new pipe goes under the range on a platform. Roots had grown under the footing to the waste pipe.
  17. All I care about is desert, tis the season! Weathered with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and allspice.
  18. with rusty edges
  19. I think you should ditch this project, again, and get that Chevy 'Burb done just because I'm into the C-10 Custom series. 😜 Like I don't have a Shelf Of Doom with such projects.
  20. Last century I built the horrid AMT kit, and later the Fujimi which was okay for a curbside. Interesting to see what 3D printing in capable hands can do. Look forward to watching this! 😊
  21. It depends what is is.
