Boy where have I been? Nov. 4, much has happened. I missed a big step today because of an appointment made a month ago. That big pipe was drawn through by the Ditch Witch. Cut the other end with a chainsaw to start, finished off with the most versatile tool on any jobsite, the Sawzall. I skipped a few steps, they went back and forth several times under the highway, making the hole bigger. They plan to be decamping by Saturday.

π³ I think you are busy enough, carry on. I love how this segment of the model world can be built with regular construction materials such as Plastruct (or whatever). [ I have a Futureliner resin body that needs a complete chassis, and depending on the cargo ..... I was thinking a racetrack party pad just to be sacrilegious] -
Like a Zonie, after a couple days of rain I'm bored with it looking like Washington state. π We are long overdue, late Monsoon start, spotty which makes it a joke about the percent being 40%, which really means 40% of the area will get measurable rain to the hundreths. I'm good with a shy 1" yesterday after sunset. There is a hill with radio towers on top, clouds are low. *Could* get sno higher elevation tonight. Second day this Winter with the wood stove going, and starting in the morning not end of the day. I've been doing something related with models! In my search for landscaping rocks, have sampled some natural river sand, and used a magnifying glass to find cool pebbles, to add to my California Pit Stop diorama built years ago. Rushed that project before a GSL (not the last), was never happy with the foreground. So I'm not totally out of the picture.

Isn't some "bitcoin" based on A.I. to build a synthetic currency? I never asked any of those 'bitcoin" billionaires. I'll go out on a limb, and say Zuck with his MeatA (sic) virtue world, topped off with video gaming, has not been useful for society. Just himself. Speaking of self, women (and I'm sure men) use A.I. to make their picture look fabulous, then you meet in person, what do you do? π³ Yes I'm becoming a grouchy old man, I still remember having to watch the film 'Future Shock' in High School, portraying a Utopia where computers would make our lives so much easier, would have to work only three days a week, set in what looked like a park and not a crowded city, none of which came true. Oh wait, one exception, IMO not a positive sign portending today's insanity. Also sick of nature pictures where I know it's obviously fake, and so many fake accounts saying "I've been there", in what side of the portal? And the fake car pictures are getting really annoying. π

I'm curious about the 1:24 scale S-10, would have to reverse scratch-build to stock tho.

That's freaking awesome! π Begs for more weathering. I have used products for water, and added color. Try white Elmers glue, add acrylic black and see how it dries, won't attract dust like real grease (how do I know that LOL). -

I checked into Fakebook after my post above and posted those pictures. Then thought it would be a nice day for a drive. Depending which way you looked, it was raining. Far from boring today! π

Not a boring day so far. Before sunup (no sunrise with color), the rays in the clouds. The fan cloud over the hill: The rainbow, which had moved during a couple hours. About 50ΒΊF and windy. We need the rain!

A Place For Build Ideas
89AKurt replied to oldcarfan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dann Tier Figgens was scratch-building a Isedra, which was one I toyed with. Just post pictures of different, rare, unique such as already started here. The '50 Chevy pickup can be modified so many ways. Ice cream vendor, my Canopy Express, four door cab, extended cab, dually, 4x4, Suburban, there was a Panel resin body, semi trucks had various versions, COE, ramp truck, on and on for just one kit. π This Woodie GMC is super rare. -

I can't believe it, an ad for Distefan 3D Print Store with a Stutka.

Love the idea! I know how difficult resin kits are, did a fine job.

For anyone who dislikes doing spark plug wires, be warned. π Love how absurd these are, the tiny tires vs. Land Train tires. Cool build! -
