  1. Prescott Antique Auto Club monthly cruise Thursday night. I only care about my '68 Chevy pickup Blue Cloud. 😏 July 4th coming up, big tourist thing here.
  2. No closeup of the Pinto? Very nice original cars.
  3. Thank you! I like the '57 Sweptline pickup, saw the cab lines.
  4. I've had an "irk" going for awhile, been keeping contained. A couple months ago I unleashed my ire at the County. No letter, nothing from them since their threat letter. Everything about Fakerrari has been a test of patience. Good thing it's just a toy.
  5. Norris, there is a guy with the same last name in the auto club who is in the final stages of a slow grind to a halt.
  6. Since the OT is "on-the-road" this is the Prescott Antique Auto Club monthly cruise night. Since there was a concert on the Courthouse Plaza (straight ahead), our leader thought it would be fun to drive around. I didn't dare take pictures while driving by the Square (they can never make up their mind what to call it). 😬 Tossing this bone for the forum. Not a club member, just dropped by. Roush engine. Painting that firewall was fun.
  7. Love it! What's next, dioramas? Keep exploring, I've wanted to do a shaggy really taken over level of moss weathering.
  8. I'm impressed, and 3D printing to the rescue! I know nothing about trucks, I assume the cab is from the pickup line?
  9. Before Darwinism ruled.
  10. tassels strategically positioned
  11. I think it looks awesome! I know of a guy in WA who has a full size Speedracer under construction, currently stalled (we never do that, do we).
  12. My first forum that I joined was the NAM (North American Motoring) forum, that's when I made up the name 89AKurt (20 years ago?!?!?). Won several monthly photo contests, had a reputation for sunsets, started on post #18 here. One dealer loaner car was a blue like that, at first didn't like it, but it sure fit into the Phoenix rural landscape. Did track time with the '03, what a blast! My Dorky Cheapskate modification OT is still there, and I'm still doing it.
  13. Enjoyed reading the stories! I had mostly FWD cars, '77 Civic CVCC w/ 4 speed, then '87 Civic Si, '57 Chevy station wagon, '91 VW Jetta, '03 & '06 MINIs, now '16 Honda Civic EX-T which I will pit against Fakerri. I had fun with the little cars giving legit "muscle cars" a run for the money on track days and autocrosses. But I never had a sports car until now, and I'm still driving it like a grandpa.
  14. Regarding changing the engine, or body, Zimmer - Fiero with LS swap.
  15. I could quote others, but will cover relevant points. There was a magazine in the display, I just don't take many pictures anymore. Choice of GM or Honda must be a regional, or cultural thing. In my town of mostly well off retired folks, mixed with younger school age (Embry Riddle University, Prescott College, Yavapai College age) it's mostly old American iron. There were some very nice Hondas with Acura engines. Another thread y'all talking about engine swaps on Fieros. My opinion, they killed it when it finally got upgraded.
  16. You going perfectly shiny, or patina that paint? πŸ€ͺ Tire/wheels makes a huge difference, for something else to change. But the most important thing is to actually finish it, unlike me. πŸ™„
  17. This makes me wonder if guys really like working on cars (trucks, boats, etc.). I have been trying to get reliable brakes since I got Fakerri, I'm to the point of wishing I went all new Wilwood brakes system. But no, never listen to my inner voice, again. Having a mechanic shop do it. Last week I showed up, opened both boxes with calipers, and discovered one was completely wrong, they warehouse to the store to the delivery person to the mechanic did not look at BOTH boxes, until me. Today it was the correct caliper, but it leaked like crazy through the cylinders, so this time he is getting 3 calipers just in case. He this week, had a really bad experience with Toyota, correct VIN#, but tie rods were wrong, from the dealer, wasted his time. How does anyone stay in business when parts are always wrong? Good thing this is not my daily or only vehicle. Picture of paint stir stick used by the builder in 1977?
  18. I was looking for the "Irked" thread, makes me wonder if guys really like having projects. Getting "new" remanufactured parts, don't get me going..... Shoulda done a Wilwood upgrade.
  19. Just a little detail.... where have I heard that before. Fakerri didn't have any back-up lights, and don't know about the wiring. I have a mobil mechanic who got the turn signals and hi/low beam switch and lights working. He will complete the wiring for these cool LED lights, I made the mounts. I didn't want to drill new holes, there were 4 existing holes. Tube steel scavenged from a trashed awning. One is still hooked up to the AAA batteries for testing. What it looks like. 🫣 Needed a turn signal switch thingamajig. Made in USA. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Road near me.
