  1. The some excuse or another thing is incorrect.. The first 1/25 scale prototype of the Powell, as well as a ludicrously cool 1/18 scale build of it, were both stolen at said show.. Thus causing a huge, and I think, obvious, set-back in production as neither turned up, and resulting in the entire project having to be started over from scratch.. It's the kind of thing that kills projects in the making, and it's pretty cool that we're able to get it now at all.. I don't understand the mindset of the thief, just, in general, but also, after stealing it, you couldn't ever show it to anyone or whatever, because those that know things would instantly know where it came from.. Anyway, doesn't matter what I think really, other than, YO, this thing is undeniably cool, and yall should get hold of one if you can!
  2. I am cool with it! What kit DOESN'T require sandpaper an razor blades an fitting? I'm a builder, those things have never bothered me much.. Also, the Powell that is currently available, in small batches, is essentially a pre-production prototype, so, I'd always assume that a kit of that description would still be in need of refinement here an there.. It's still a kit of an obscure American vehicle, that NOBODY else has, nor even thought of, and THAT makes it really, really, really cool! Outside of the box thinking, and I hope Okeys got a hundred more unique kit subjects comin down the line for us.. ALSO, that AMC AMX kit of yours is pretty rad!
  3. Godspeed Okey Spaulding!! You're a G-dam LEGEND! Keep on keepin on.. The Powell pickup is EXCELLENT you guys, you really ought to get hold of one if you can.. Also, the dude has ALWAYS been 100% on the level with me.. All of you haters are just, honestly, you're just sad.. Buy a Powell!
  4. You ain't wrong about em bein.. not great.. ever since they were bought out.. BUT, I feel like I should tell you about what happened to me when I got hold of a can of trash paint from em.. Went to spray a Moebius '65 Plymouth in some off-white color, paint came out of the nozzle full of dried up chunks of paint mixed with runny awful paint, then stopped entirely, and it WAS a brand new can too.. Anyway, called customer service and asked em what the hell was happening with my paint, and what was they gonna do about it.. They sent me a free replacement ENTIRE CASE of spray cans of that color, as well as a big bag of 50 or so new nozzles, FOR FREE, and I had it at my door in TWO DAYS.. Replacement paint went on like velvet.. SO, their customer service is 100% on-point.. Overall, not great, but far from terrible..
  5. Ayy, right on! PM me the parts or decals or whatnot that yer after, and we'll see if a trade can be sorted out.. Thanks!
  6. Thanks for the info, that thing has been around for a long time, it'd be cool if the issued it with all of the original parts from the 1960s tooling
  7. Awesome, let me know if you find anything, thanks!
  8. Yo, first, THANK YOU to everybody that has done some tradin with me, and all yall that have helped me out with the locating of missing parts, yall rock! Now, for this Revell '36 Ford coupe I recently got, I am needing three parts for it.. This rumble seat lid ^^^^ And both the left, and right hood sides, the stock ones like these ^^^^ not the smooth custom ones.. The release of this kit that I got is the Car Show series with the purple and silver custom coupe box art.. It doesn't particularly matter which kit release the parts come from though, as long as they are the stock parts.. PLEASE, let me know if you got em, I've got stuff to trade you for em, drop me a PM! THANK YOU!
  9. Yeah dude, totally.. I came here to say this too.. Grandview Hobbies has been my go-to hobby shop ever since I first started building as a kid in the early 90s.. I live a little over 2 hours West of there these days, but still make the drive over and stop in a few times a year.. Fella ALWAYS has an excellent inventory, cool built-ups on display - many of which are available for sale, and even a secret stash of vintage kits he dips into and makes available from time to time.. Cool dude, knowledgeable, cool place, probably the last of the old school hobby shops in Cbus, and well worth the trip to visit..
  10. Yeah dude, I'd freakin buy a case of these things if someone ever did make em!
  11. I've seen it happen where dudes say that about a kit, but THEN, they see all the builds people are doin, see how nice it is, etc, etc.. And then buy it anyway!
