  1. So, if I am seeing it correctly, the kit grill for the S-10 is a 93? If someone has a spare kit grill or cab they want to send me I can get to work on it.
  2. So, using real world dimensions I came up with this. It is a 16in wagon wheel with a 33x12.50-16 Beastmaster Trail Tamer A/T mounted on it. Wheel and tire are separate parts as is the center cap, so it can be used on a 4 wheel drive, 2 with, 2 without. Now with front hub.
  3. Well, let me start with an easy one. Can you give me the outer diameter of this wheel, inner diameter of the tire? An the width of the wheel/tire in MM? If so I can knock those out in a very short time. The Grill and long bed for the Snow Plow/Deserter/ etc. truck is also a possibility, I have that kit. All the S-10 stuff will be harder for me as I do not have that kit and to get it right with no kit to test on would be difficult.
  4. Let me know if you get stuck, I can easily draw up one for you and 3D print it, or send you the file and you can get it printed. Just PM me if you want me to do that.
  5. When I did this kit, it was for the Vannonball Run we did a few years back. I turned mine into a 4x4 adventure van. I completely threw out the stock suspension and the rest of the kit seemed OK.
  6. I was asked by some members here to do an Offenhauser engine that could be 3D printed. I did this up in Fusion and it is now available from Texas 3D Customs. This was scaled off of original drawings and is as accurate as can be reasonably done at this scale. Manifolds are separate parts and can be put on either side. Pictures showed them on different sides depending on application I guess. Here is the first print, shot with a spay paint and craft paint.
  7. I got the first one printed and assembled. I will make these available, but I won't print them. Due to the size these are a challenge to print.
  8. Its all relative, in scale it is probably a foot or more, on the work bench it is 1/8-3/16in. "Slightly"
  9. OK, Hickey hood for the 70's Chevrolet/GMC Trucks. When printed, the rear edge may need a little sanding and filling, we shall see.
  10. So, I think I have everything printed and ready to assemble the test bed. My daughter went into labor last night and so I am here with my new Grand daughter. 3D printed parts will have to wait a couple of days.
  11. I was thinking the same thing. I think you had asked for the Hickey hood, it's on the drawing board as I type this. It's a challenge with the complex curves and what not.
  12. If you can get them 3D printed, I have them available in my Cults3d store. If getting them printed is not an option PM me and let me know. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/various/1-25-2-hole-wheels-for-semi-truck
  13. We, a request was made for a Offenhauser Engine. Here it is. I used a Blueprint scaled to the right size and imported into Fusion. I then built the parts over the top of the Blueprint. So, it is as close to correct as I can get.
  14. Here is one of the first batch. Sorry about the quick pictures, they are at a bad angle and don't show proper size.
  15. Well the test bed is on the printer right now. The first set the bed sides did not print well, so I am trying something different.
  16. I know this is an old post, but I figured I would update my progress. When I posted this I was struggling to use TinkerCad. Fusion was not even possible for me. Now, a little over a month later and I don't bother with TinkerCad, I only use Fusion. Here is what I have learned to draw in the last month. I encourage anyone that want to learn it, to go for it. It is possible.
  17. Yes, Van Halen. I guess that shows what generation we are from. The numbers on the reference photos were unreadable, so I made up my own. Its not like they will really be big enough to read anyway. As I am going to want a few of these for projects of my own, I will try to print a few this week and send them your way. PM me your address.
  18. Here it is in all its glory. One Rockwell T-138 Transfer case. I took some liberties as I only had a few pictures and very rough dimensions to work from. However I figure sitting under a 1:25 scale truck, it is better than anything that would have been injection molded from AMT/MPC. I did not recreate the splines for the input shafts, I figure scale driveshafts will have pins into the holes, 2mm. I also had some fun with the numbers. One should be easy to figure out, let me know if you know what the other one means.
  19. I would be willing to try, however, as I am finding there are just some details too small to effectively print. I first off would need some very exact dimensions of the tire, second, I can only print with hard resin right now. There are "rubber like" resins out there, but the cost is 2X regular resin. 1000g is $94. I would not be printing any of those for free. What I am learning is that I can draw anything in Fusion (almost) and as my skills improve I can do even better stuff. However there is a limit to what can be printed. I am also finding that sometimes things need to be inaccurate so they will print or look OK. When you look at the molded parts in a kit, most fine details are not there and they are made to be molded. With that I am finding it is better for me to "represent" a part, then to accurately replicate a part. Many details are just not scale-able to 1:25.
  20. I have a 1965 Chevy C10 and I have wanted to make a replica of it. However it is an 8ft bed, not the 6ft that the kits offer. So, a few hours later in Fusion I have a complete model of a 8ft Chevy/GMC bed. The Tailgate says Chevrolet right now, but I can make a GMC one easily. I have corrected the flaws in the kit parts by making the inside of the bed more closely match the 1:1. I added stake pockets and some other details not possible with injection molding. This will still need some fine details to be touched up with a sanding stick, like the very back bottom corners, but it is close. I hope to get this broken out and made into an STL soon. Is this something you all would be interested in? It would save time cutting up 2 beds to make an 8 footer.
  21. Well, after a bit of research I discovered that there is no font that matches it. So, I downloaded a picture and loaded it into Fusion and copied it. It is as close as I can get.
