  1. One problem I have found, and its a Big one. Is if You assemble the Body with the front lower Valance in place. "Which is a lot nicer for painting" You will not be able to get the chassis place in after you put the Radiator support assembly in place. The assembly instructions show it without the Valance in place. The back end is so wide, that it is impossible to put the front in first, and try to sqeeze the back side in place.
  2. I have had the opprtunity to trade with many Good people here, and have not at all been disappointed in any of my dealings. I have had two trades lately with, Mark wright aka Mackvision, and Joe long aka Ferrarijoe. Both have been amazing experiences, and would recommend them if a trade deals comes up.
  3. Tony, You Might want to try, and find a place to paint with Lower Humidity. High humidity can cause paint problems, of course in Houston Theres probably not many dry rooms, around this time of year. I dont Know if thats what you have going on with this paint job. The coverage does look very Even, so maybe the Heavier coats might work.
  4. Micro Mark announced a 3-D printer in thier latest online catalog for $799.00. Oops error on my part, its current selling price is $724.00 Item Number 86210.
  5. It is pretty handy door ding,if you want to do a Diorama of a nice car in a parking lot, with the photo etched shopping cart from wild hare production parked beside it.
  6. Dan it will look better if it gets done by Saturday night.Otherwise it will be going to the project table.
  7. These are some pictures of one, I have.
  8. I like the the color, too bad about the problems you are having though.
  9. Nice car love the stance
  10. There is a semi review going on in the kit review section of the board.no pictures just some general observations of this kit.
  11. As an aside, we've had a number of 'wrong-way' head-on crashes on our interstate highways (almost one or two each week for months), wherein drivers were traveling the wrong way at freeway speeds and clobbered innocent drivers. An inordinate percentage were illegal immigrants, many of whom were intoxicated and some of whom had been deported multiple times before. None of them would speak/read/write English. All the "Wrong Way" signs are printed in English. I find this statement to be innacurate, with a few other statements made on this post. However there have been a large number of wrong way crashes here in the Valley. Without a doubt causing some horrific personal tragedies. Beginning on May 12th Raul Silva Corona an Illegal Immigrant that had been deported before.Crashed into Officer Brandon Mendoza, on his way home after his shift for the Mesa Police Department killing both drivers. From that point just 5 days later,on may 18th Patricia Murphy was in a wrong way driver incident to My knowledge not an Illegal Immigrant. On June 22nd a 47 Year old Valley Man was in a wrong way Accident. To My knowledge not an Illegal Immigrant, On July 15th Erin May Corona was involved in a wrong way driver incident. To My knowledge not an Illegal Immigrant, and not related to Raul. July 24th Shawna Ray Bedonie was in a wrong way driver incident. To My knowledge not an Illegal Immigrant. On July 31st A Man in his 60's was involved in a wrong way incident. To My knowledge he was not an Illegal Immigrant. No other information was provided on Him by the News Media who does, a fairly good Job at describing what is occuring at the time, and would have Been notified by the Police Agency if these were in fact Illegal Immigrant caused Accidents. As I stated Before these wrong way Driver crashes caused Horrific Personal tragedies, Loss of life because someone was High on drugs, or Drunk, then decided to get in to their car. To make a Statement that, "An inordinate percentage were Illegal Immigrants" is Absurd to Me, when Niether the Police, Or News Media indicated that this was the case.
  12. I like the Hood
  13. I am finding Small fixes that could be looked at by Revell, The detail of the the steering wheel could be Sharpened up, next the front seat upholstery pattern is a little Shallow compared to the rear seat and almost washes out. There is a decal for the Gauge cluster, but yo won't be able to see it once it is place because the steering wheel placement obscures much of it. Revell included a decal for the Radio face, but it would have been nice to do one for the heater control panel while they were at it. Basicallly I feel the crispness in the Interior is lacking, which could be a problem if you want to offer this kit as a convertible in the future.
  14. The AMT kit has the four speed option only. You would need to find a source for the B.O.P transmission.
  15. I super glued mine.

    57 Chevy

My Condolences on the Loss of your Grandmother. Andrew that is one nice looking car.
  17. Where Have I heard that before.
  18. It is an excellent kit, just different from the norm. From other kits I have built. I would recommend it. I am building mine straight from the box, not something I normally do (boring for me).
  19. Not sure,I will say that it is simple. The exhaust manifolds are molded relieved on the backside, there are raised bumps on the heads for spark plugs.all parts are molded very cleanly, with hardly any flash. The Engine mounting posts come up from the frame. Fitting into cutouts on the block very toylike IMO.
  20. I got lucky today, with the short straw that is.I just finished putting a 30-30 brake chamber on a Very juicy, trash truck. Right now in my mind.I am on my couch in My living room watching, a 1000 ways to Die,featuring my leadman.
  21. Don't mention this to Francis with those flaws, He may never find Another Model to build again.
  22. Oh let me Guess what Color it will be. and What the Number on the Door, will be.
  23. Went over to a Hobby Lobby nearby Me. They had one Snap kit Batmobile with the original figures, I asked about the New version, and was told that if it was not listed on the shelf tags, that there was no space for alotted for them, so they would not likely be Ordering any. Other stores May be carrying them, but you should call and ask first. They did have the Polar lights 1964 GTO on the shelf. Which makes me believe that none of the Batmobile kits were in fact ordered.
  24. They dont use pistons anymore, they still use the Swash plate to control the Freon flow GM calls it the VVTXV, and VVOT.
