  1. It's called the "789" Personally, I don't like it.
  2. I don't remember what Malibu was in SA, but thanks for remembering.
  3. Don't let the shirt fool ya,,,,this is actually Pennsylvania. More pics: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...-meeting-and-a/
  4. I originally intended to build a full detail kit,,,,until I saw the actual contents of the box. I understand that this was the last BODY that Ron Cash made, which was very well done, but the rest of the kit was put together by Ray Parsons of R&R. I added several things like wheels, tailights, headlights, "chromed" the bumpers with BMF, Made acetate windows. The interior bucket was greatly widened to eliminate the HUGE gaps between the side panels and the body. The dash doesn't fit the cowl, leaving a grand canyon-sized gap, but I already had everything painted and glued. The frame was unidentifyable and I could have resin-casted a dog turd that looked and fit better. If you're fortunate enough to have one of these and intend to build it, you're in for a LOT of work. Buy LOTS of putty! Even with all that said, I'm still grateful that we have a piece of model car history from Ron Cash.
  5. I assume your resin body is from R&R. I've had one for many years also, but have yet to start on it. He called it a '34, but I think 34's and 35's are very similar. What frame are you going to use?
  6. This is really different. Great job. I like this a lot.
  7. Great photos !!! STELLA STEVENS???????? That's Stella Stevens?????? ######!!!!!! Okay, we all got old but,,,,,,,,,,,,, my childhood fantasies have just been officially buried.
  8. Thanks Tom. Great pics. Did you run into Ron Bradley? He is our local discount kit distributor and is at most of our meetings. He has a big motor home and trailer with several hundred kits and does the Super Chevy curcuit.
  9. YOU ARE! I'm old enough to remember when Americans played major league baseball.
  10. The sticker was on the shrink wrap, so if you're looking at an opened kit, you have to check the body to see which one you have. Along with the corrected items mentioned above, the grille and the wheel covers were also corrected.
  11. That's nice,,,,,hey, wait a minute. YOU can't do a new build. You have to wait until it's about 10 years old and all screwed up with glue prints and broken A pillars.
  12. John, This is every Sunday morning during good weather months. They are at the Burtonsville shopping center, rts 29 & 198.
  13. Called the Church of the Holy Doughnut cruise because it's held in the shopping center parking lot in front of the Dunkin' Donuts Many more pics: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/car-shows...morning-cruise/

  16. This better be your wife or I'm gonna tell!!!! Great pics. Thanks a bunch.
  17. Tires are also from the Revell '32. They are from an older issue with the sidewall trademarks and lettering.
  18. It's called JIM'S PRINTABLE MINIS, but it is just a blank page today. It looks like it's gone. Maybe there's a problem with his web site and it will be back soon.
  19. Thanks. Yep, I know about AWB. That's just one of the many controls on this new one that I haven't set yet.
  20. Actually, I'm just trying out my new camera. I figured after 6 years, it was time to upgrade my old steam-powered digital. The '69 Malibu I started many months ago. THANKS TO STEVE MILLBERRY FOR THE HOOD!!! Practicing macro settings. The wheels are from,,,uh,,,,,,some fairly new kit. B-M Nova. Had the resin hood stashed away in an AMT Nova box. Modified the rear of the hood somewhat to fit the Revell Nova. Wheels from a Revell '32 Ford kit. After using about 10 pounds of putty (It's cast by R&R Resin, ya know) I've got the first color coats of paint on the Ron Cash tribute car. I want to have this one done for Toledo.
  21. Just what the world needs,,,,,,,,another Puerto Rican Perv!
  22. Very different,,,,AND VERY COOL!
  23. Club member, Gary Sutherlin's 427 cu.in. '66 El Camino. Linda Vaughn Lots more pics: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/car-shows...le-car-madness/
  24. This is the 25th variation on the Revell '32 Ford kit. Converted this one into a sedan delivery, the same way Ford actually did it in 1932. Took out the back seat, installed a flat floor, cut in the rear door with drip rail and put sheet metal,,,uh,,,I mean, plastic inserts in the rear side window openings. Added the wheels from an AMT kit. Pretty much everything else is from the kit. Paint is Duplicolor gray-green,,,,,,same color as my 1:1 Magnum.
  25. I do it exactly the way Harry described.
