  1. Those wheels became a Camaro option around Sept. of 1969 when the model year was extended due to the auto workers union strike. You could order them on a Camaro from Sept.'69 to Feb. 1970, when the second generation Camaro was introduced.
  2. Remember that Thickstun head covers COVERED the heads on the engine. Therefore they are slightly bigger than the heads, themselves. I don't know for sure what engine they are on in the pic.
  3. MCG is doing just fine. Your LHS has to order new things from MCG, or else you won't see anything "new" there. The MCG web site lists all the newest stuff that has been produced. For Bob to produce photoetch for new kits, THERE HAS TO BE NEW KITS! The few new kits, such as, Magnums, Charger R/T's, Model King limited reissued race car kits, etc. do not lend themselves to photoetch sets. It is hoped that the 68-70 Nova photoetch will fit the new Revell '69 Nova kit, but Bob has to have the kit in hand before he will know for sure. He doesn't get advanced test shots like he used to, many years ago. A few years ago, on the old Hobby Heaven board, someone typed that they heard that MCG had a big layoff!!!!!! He must have layed off the Palmetto bugs in his Florida garage, because MCG is a one-man operation.
  4. Here are the original masters from Rik Hoving. They look like the right size to me.
  5. This is #24. I've already started NUMBER 25 - a sedan delivery. When that one is finished,I'll bring them ALL to a meeting. Yes, I'll be at the CPMCC meeting on Saturday.
  6. Forget the pacecar. Just turn it into a street rod.
  7. This started as an old green buildup that I got in a bag from a friend. The body was modified to fit the Revell kit. The model is basically a copy of the 1:1 car in the June 2008 Rod & Custom Magazine, with a few changes here and there. Tailights are the teardrops from the tudor sedan kit mounted on the teardrop photoetched surrounds found in the MCG '32 Ford set. Engine is the Dodge "baby hemi" from an old AMT '32 Ford roadster kit. Engine was painted very similar to the 1:1 car. Interior side panels were scratchbuilt from sheet plastic. Arm rests and handles cut from a Revell kit door panel. Thanks for looking.

  19. Incredible work. Just beautiful!! Seems to me that I saw this in a magazine a while back.
  20. Thanks for all the comments. All AMT '32 Ford bodies run "up hill"from back to front.. To make them more accurate, you have to lengthen them along the bottom. The hood louvers were carefully opened, one by one, after thinning the plastic from the inside.
  21. Revell '32 cowl and windshield grafted to AMT phaeton body. '37 Ford truck wheels. Reworked and modified luggage rack from an old AMT roadster kit. Complete MCG photoetch set used. Interior side panels scratchbuilt. Front seat built from a Speedwagon seat and sheet plastic. Dash modified to stock and woodgrained. Banjo wheel from MCG. Hood hinged and all louvers were opened. 265 from an AMT '55 Nomad kit with "Deuce" valve covers and air cleaner lid. All done after about 2 months. Just in time for the Street Rod Nats East model display.
  22. Eldersburg,,,,just like it says on the Fotki album!
