  1. Everything you need can be found on the Model Car Garage photoetch set.
  2. I give up. What is the red bump on the bottom of the firewall in the last pic?
  3. Tom, that's a great build. Very very nice. I hope there are enough tables at NNL EAST for your stuff.
  4. We celebrated the life of Harry Charon, who passed away on March 12, 2008. Many of us own models built by Harry over the years, and we brought them in to display. Harry and I both attended our first MAMA meeting exactly 19 years ago, in March of 1989. I will deeply miss my dear friend. Many other photos (of other modelers'cars) at the link: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...eeting-3152008/
  5. The MCG photoetch was done for the original AMT '57 Chevy, long before the "new" tool came out. This is also why the Revell '55 uptop won't fit your build. The "new" tool 57 Chevy is wider at the back than it is in the front. The Revell '55 uptop WILL fit the old tool AMT 57. Many people will argue that the original AMT '57 Chevy is the best and most acurate, although, when the "new" tool is built up properly, it is a very nice model.
  6. '68 Chevelle '68 Chevelle '68 Chevelle '68 Chevelle '68 Chevelle '68 Chevelle
  7. Very, very nice. Everything came together just right.
  8. I built one. Everything fit fine. LOL
  9. For a bench seat, you need a BACK seat from a second kit and some sheet plastic.. On the one, I've done, I added headrests from a '69 Olds 442.
  10. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREGG! You're still young enough that the number of candles don't violate the fire codes.
  11. I assume from your location, you will be at NNL EAST. Norm will have several of these kits there, but it would seem they will go fast. Of course, when Norm runs out of something at a show, he takes your name and address and ships it to you the same week. Thanks Peter, and everyone else, for the nice compliments.
  12. Raul, This was answered under the "cool bike parts" thread in ON THE WORKBENCH. Also, MOPARLADY (Shannon Demalio) has Reps & Mins complete catalog on her Fotki site. When I get home, I'll post the link.
  13. As Ken said, these are from the AMT '34 Ford 5-window coupe street rod kit. They are chromed and you have to paint the"lense"portion with Tamiya Clear Red.
  14. Tim - thanks for the compliments on the build. This is the first one out of the mold. They are available now. I had been hearing the rumor about the tudor sedan for at least two years, but wanted to be SURE what Revell was doiing with the tool, before spending all the time to master up a pickup. Here's the details:
  15. I can assume that all the parts from the resin kit (combined with a Revell '32 Ford street rod kit) could be used EXCEPT the cab, of course. I would start with the Revell roadster body. I believe you will have to shorten the cowl, then behind the doors, you need to use a rounded body - possibly the bottom part of the resin cab. All '32 Roadster pickups had a fabric uptop that did not fold down - they had to be lifted off of the body. I think Norm does an uptop for the Revell roadster, so that would probably work, or if you have an old Monogram uptop.
  16. But Jim is from the UK and you know, they don't realy speak English, so I thought I better ask!.
  17. Uh,,,,,,,,,what's an RPU?
  18. Resin '32 Ford pickup transkit for the Revell '32 Ford Street Rod kits. Duplicolor Bright Red. Chrome reverse/baby moon wheels from an AMT kit - otherwise, everything is Revell or resin.
  19. "Those guys" is a one man operation - Norman Veber. You won't ever see a web site. Norm works a minimum of 12 hours a day, pouring, casting, packaging and shipping. Most people get their orders within 2 weeks - many get them in 3 or 4 days. If he had a web site, he would have no time to operate it or maintain it and frankly, his quality of service would probably go DOWN because of the increased orders, which he wouldn't be able to handle quickly and efficiently. This has come up on other boards for several years. The "standard" comment is, "why doesn't he just hire someone to run a website and log in orders, etc, etc. It's expensive, time consuming and he wouldn't trust anyone to do "HIS JOB" better than himself. (Norm has said all this himself, this is not my opinion) Some people won't buy from Reps & Mins (arguably, one of, if not THE best aftermarket company in the hobby) because they would have to turn their attention away from a computer screen to actually dial a phone number. Their loss! Meanwhile, a bunch of us will try to keep ya'll up to date on what Norm's up to.
  20. Replicas & Miniatures Co. of Md. has lots of stuff for the Revell bikes. http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/lyles_mod...les__race_cars/
  21. Another great model. All of your builds are super.
  22. Would you buy a used car from this man? A bunch more neat models and not-so-neat old guys to look at right here: http://public.fotki.com/mamaprez/model-clu...lphia-sit-down/
  23. That would be me.
