As seen in the mock up thread, the AMT '66 Nova Restorod. to get the two popsicle height I like I had to carve out the wheel housing a bit and move the perches inboard to allow for the wider meats. then I shaved some off the axle and added a few lowering blocks. here's the look so far. I'll have to fabricate mini-tubs soon and attach the axle and leaf springs to the chassis. With all this, it gets me in the ballpark.

Yeah, from what I can remember I built the Impala box stock. The only thing I added was a braided radiator hose and the pink dice. The antennas came with the kit. -

I'm with you Jim. I was laughing as I read your post. I drop everything I touch it seems. Worst part is I'm on carpet. I dont give up until its found. I love that big grin shes giving off. Good idea pinning the door handles. I've always wanted to do that but never seem to follow thru.

I bought this after it was built back in the 90s. I got it because it was the same color as the '59 Impala I had built around the same time. She sat on display until a few weeks ago when I decided to put my stink on it. It was missing a bunch of details that I was able to source from the bone yard. The changes I made included interior color, detailed trim, carpet, added a steering wheel, shifter added, side mirror and rear view mirror added, battery added, heater and radiator hoses, engine and alternator color change, added a drive shaft, added a hood prop rod, updated wheels and tires, disc brakes and calipers, secured the front suspension, removed the mold lines on both bumpers, lowered the stance and added license plates. How the sausage was made Thanks for looking -
You're off to a great start

I liberated the door cards from the tub and am planning on new paint and carpet. I also dressed up the firewall adding the goodies from the Chevelle kit. -
Super clean. Love the color
