I've added the flat washers and plastic bits to simulate disc brakes engine is almost complete. When I got this car the entire engine was painted body color. I guess that's a 90s thing. the sea green alternator is sharpie silver with red inserts now. the firewall was bare so I stole the goodies from the '67 Chevelle Pro Street kit. -

I picked up this completed El Camino from a friend back in the early 90s. I thought the builder had great taste... and it was a dead match to the Impala I built around the same time. The El Camino stayed in this status until about a month ago when it occurred to me that it was time for an update. I knew I wanted to make a wheel swap, make the front end positional and update the engine and interior. I'm keeping the color because it matches my Impala -and I don't feel like stripping it down for another color. Stay Tuned...

Sharp looking build. Looks great in black

Very nice. I prefer the wide grille apposed to the narrow one

something that was built by somebody else and been on the shelf for many many years. Gonna give her the once over shown here with a wheel swap. Keeping the paint. I'll explain when I create the build thread. -
Nice! Can you show how you did it?
-
Great pair of Buicks. You both did a masterful job

That's a pretty decent looking scratch built grille. Good job
