Great looking Mako. Those lines are so sexy

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. She's now Under Glass. Thanks for following along.

Alright, I'm calling it. I've gone as far as I can go with this one. She was missing a few pieces and if you were following, you know I had to make a few. If I run across the pieces I need, I'll put em in place then. I'm quite pleased with this one. It was my first airbrush experience. And using craft paint as the medium. I'll definitely be using it more often. Mess ups are a breeze when you dont have to use chemicals to strip a body part with almost no wait time. How the sausage was made is here. Thanks for looking.

Nice, I'll practice on something else first. Thanks David

I've drilled out the lenses before on a 64 Impala and replaced them with clear lenses and was not happy with the result. I would like to see an example of what you did though with the silver and clear paint

Good idea David. I was looking at them and how hokey they appear. And was wondering what could be done with them. Do know of any examples I can use as a reference?

Chugging along. I mentioned earlier that this kit was missing the front glass. Well, I made one. I used the clear plastic from blister packs. anytime I get something that comes packaged this way, I cut apart the package and store it away for just an occasion. first I made a paper template then... transferred it to a piece that was big enough. then I bent it to fit the curve and held it in place with mini clothespins and glued it in place. 30 minutes later I was good also got the grille all detailed up. And the interior is done. I'm almost there. Only thing left is the firewall and overflow tank. I couldn't help myself, I had to test fit it together. Here's a preview Stay Tuned...

Yeah, that's a nice one. What is the paint and color?
-
Thanks! The past 3 builds I had to do this too. It's kind of a pain but if you want to do up the door cards, it must be done -at least I need to do it. Basically I just score the corners until they snap off. Then I go back and flatten down the ridges caused by the knife so it goes back together.

2 coats of clear. No buffing yet. Rotors are made from washers and the calipers are cut scrap plastic. went with indoor outdoor spray paint for the seats, package tray and door cards. Coffee bean craft paint as a base for the floor covered with dark brown flocking. Waiting on supplies to finish up the interior. Stay Tuned...

Blasphemy! I love it

The gentleman's muscle car. When I was a kid there was a guy who lived down the street who owned a dark green 70. I'll be watching.

Great looking Mopar! I like all the details. The more I look, the more I see.
-
Super clean Camaro. That grille technique is awesome. I've done that with a Dremel before but your way looks much less stressful.

I've completely lost interest in these three. I doubt I'll ever be able to finish them. I've done extensive body work on the first two and I dont have the confidence to pull them across the finish line. The 3rd? I'm not into drag cars anymore.

What a great color and finish!
