Nice job! I dig the lights and slight patina

Thanks Gerald. I really like the hub caps too but I couldn't pose the front wheels with them. They were too big and sort of unrealistic

Decided to go curbside on this one. Finished product can be found here Thanks for playing along!

my first weathered car. This is a curbside -no motor. Maybe one day I'll get around to it. Build Thread Thanks for looking!

Got the interior painted and am having second thought about the wheels. While I really like the big balloons, I'm now leaning towards something else... stay tuned...

It's cool that you are using those acrylic colors. I've been using them lately to brush on parts. When you spray them thru your airbrush, what is your mix ratio? And what do you use to cut the paint? Water? Thanks! -
Sprayed the roof and sanded with 500. Also painted the head liner. Chassis partially detailed Busted up the one piece interior so I can detail the door cards and flock the floor Stay Tuned...

What a beauty! Love love love it

They were from a 1/24 scale die cast car. Jada made it I believe. These wheels are a bit too wide and will require some altering to be believable.

Another kit that's been on the shelf for far too long. I picked this up over 20 years ago thinking it was something me and my daughter could build. We never got around to it. After kicking around a few ideas, I came up with something I never tried before. Weathering. first, I had to get the trim off but I wanted to make it look like it was there and removed for another project car. so first I marked where the mounting holes on the panel would be, then chucked up a straight pin in the pin vise and then applied some heat. Then pushed the pin thru the trim. next I sanded off the trim revealing the hole. I did this to both sides. It took a couple of hours but was very satisfying. today I added 2 coats of primer brown. Stay Tuned...
