  1. 66 Bonnie on Pegasus 19" DZs
  2. About 25-30 years old. It's time for a refresh. Plan on keeping the same color. Will redo the interior. Lavender? What the heck? Articulating front wheels and engine and bay clean-up. sit tight
  3. Finished this one up about 25 or so years ago. Recently tore it down for some interior improvements, articulating fronts, disc brakes all around and some panel joint detail. Shes a curbside. thanks for looking

  11. I know what you mean! I'm excited about this one too!
  12. Super clean! Great color and nice detailing
  13. Good stuff. I like the flip flop colors on those two
  14. So what you end up with is this... I'm calling it a win. It all sits nice and flat. and the motor is happy. Stay Tuned...
  15. I used Friday as a paint day. It did not go well. This is the second time I tried nail polish on this body. Just before I complete, the tip starts drying and paint sputters out. I think I'll stick to acrylics for now. I sprayed the chassis and detailed the pipes and gas tank. Its rinse and repeat for the disc brakes. Same process I used on the Olds. For the articulating front wheels I'll employ the same idea I used for the 53 Chevy. I cut up a parts tree and will use them as my steering bits. Scrap pieces make up the upper and lower sections. I drilled a small hole thru the vertical member and will use a straight pin to act as the pivot point. Stay Tuned...
  16. The firewall is just about completed. I wanted to show the heater hose installation. There was already an opening for the heater hose, I just had to expand it a bit. Here I'm using the leads from an old pair of earbuds. I cut a suitable length and poke it thru the hole. Then make a knot on the back side and glue it in place. curiosity got the better of me and I had to see what the motor looked like tucked in the hole. It's coming along. Stay Tuned...
  17. It's been a while since we got an update...cant wait to see more
  18. Wow! Great color and finish!
  19. That's a real nice build. I like Buicks and Oldsmobiles.
  20. Good looking Buick!
  21. Gettin stuff done! Today I started and finished the disc brakes. i grabbed my 3/8 id flat washers and cut some scrap plastic bits to make up the calipers next i placed small pieces to hug the lip of the rotor. then glued some offset scraps to the back side of each wheel lastly i painted up the calipers and glued the disc brake assembly to the spacer blocks. then onto the motor. I assembled a distributor from jewelry making materials and wire and threw that on. Brown? Why not! ? and of course the pulley idea. Stole that from another member here. Then i went after the body gaps. I've always ignored this but it's so easy to do and makes quite a difference especially on light colored cars. I use water based acrylic craft paint for most things now. Here is flat black liberally applied to fill the gap. Wait a few minutes then go after it with a damp q-tip. I like to gently rub perpendicular to the line. To me, this adds so much. That's all for now. Stay Tuned...
  22. Shes a beauty! Love it
  23. This is the one that got me back into the hobby back in 2017 after a looooong hiatus. Original build can be found here. After the build I was quite happy with it except the way the wheels and tires looked. They wobbled due to the bad design and the tires looked like balloons. That's why she sacrificed her frame for the Chrysler Turbine. So, I thought it was time for a freshen up. For the redo, I plan for a wheel swap, articulating front wheels, engine and compartment details, flocking, disc brakes and of course a new frame. Some of the engine modifications are displayed here, carpet is complete and firewall well underway. Stay Tuned again...
  24. I am in the process of redoing this car. I didnt have an original build thread but I will start one now and post the finished work here. Stay Tuned...
  25. It's like the original with a lot of extra goodies like a fire extinguisher, record player, surf board, scissor jack, convertible boot, and detailed drum brakes...one thing I hate is no numbers on the parts tree. You get a tiny diagram on the bottom of the box.
