  14. Castings of the Girling disc brakes that Norman Veber did for me - the rotor is modified from the kit part - the white metal fr uprights are modified Joker kit parts … Joker cribbed them fr the Tamiya Lotus Seven kit - i won’t tell - oops …

Gracias Pico Porsche stuck the fuel tank in front on their 804 too - actually - there wasn’t a good place for the tank until Chapman drew the Lotus 25 … the behind-the-seat tank on the 18 was too small for most races but serves the survivors well - so none of the remaining 18s have the full up-front tank -

Rev’s Collection in Naples - this is a loan to the collection - not a permament part of the collection - and worth seeing - on display now - but the Collection closes for hurricane season on Jul 19 - and the hoods are up for about 25 or 30 of their cars til they close - so fire up that mobilator and drive on down - or if you are simmering in Miami heat - drive on over ….

  18. Remember - fuel tank placement was a huge challenge for early rear engine GP car design because cars had to race with race distance fuel until - when? - the end of the 3 litre formula era ?
  19. Time to check the fit of the fuel tank - so far - so good - the 24th scale body shell is relatively thick - about 1 1/2 inches - that effects the shape and make-pretend capacity of the tank - but thats ok …
  20. Super - when you began this journey - bet you didnt think you would complete it with 3D printed engine compartment fenders and bulkhead !
