  4. "Go to the Pebble Beach Concourse. I am sure that a Ferrari guy would by it for $1,000 or more." Mike: this is a great idea - but a vender's table at the concourse costs $2,000 I could stroll around the entrance gate in a trench coat and open the coat to flash the kit ?? maybe I could sell the kit at the concourse entrance for enough $$ for entrance ?? this idea has been rejected by the Finance Minister ... sigh ...

  11. For instance on the 25 - you need to bond exhaust pipe ends and then bend them in and around the cylinder heads …. This is doable with lo temp solder wire and hi temp silver solder - away we go ….
  12. How about lo temp soldering two pieces of solder together ? Hell’s bells - it worked …

  14. Exhaust pipes are what keep me up at nights - making them out of metal presents this problem - annealing brass or nickel softens the material - but repeated bending and shaping causes the metal to “work harden” - and you can use solder to make a pipe - but solder doesn’t like glue - any glue - so …

  16. Thanks for this post - simply one of the nicest looking IMSAs - and Bob Tullius was one of our great IMSA privateers - seem to recall that he had some spectacular vintage fighter planes - a P 30 - what ?

  20. Charlie - text me if you need the show info ... how would you machine the shift gate ? would you try to mill the gate pattern ? or cut vertical slots with a narrow dia. slitting saw on two nickel posts and then solder the two facing nickel strips together ?? both are a pain - which would be less of a pain ? in MY scale - you would need to use a .10 mill - how many would you break ? - the .010s are $$$
