  1. Grampz - remember the British Model Cars mag fr the late sixties / early seventies ? The one with the 3 view drawings in each issue - did you ever make something fr those plans ??
  2. Thanks MJ - i have the good fortune of living in Miami - so for a number of years i could - for about 30 bucks - show up at the Cavallino track event in palm beach gardens on an early friday morning and just wander thru the paddock - no crowds - and trip over old race cars - like this one - tougher to do now - gotta know somebody - but we still have the great concours and in Florida and random vintage events at the tracks throughout the state - not to mention Rev’s and the Brumos Collection ! Its the ONLY thing that i still like about this nutty state …

  7. paint was Tamiya Lacquers - airbrushed the markings came from a sheet made by Lemans Decals for the Spa winner ... [France?]
  8. the baseplate had limited detail - i cleaned it up - added the suspension detail - but I didn't want to change or remove too many features down here ...
  9. the kit featured great decals and art work - that was Michael's calling card it also had alot of photo-etch and a multi-piece engine - which set the kit apart from most other limited production resin kits thirty years ago - I used some of those parts and made some of my own - and cribbed a couple of parts from the Replicas and Miniatures [hi Norman] GTO resin eng kit - to make my own Ferrari 125 small block 12 ... which Harold Bradford agreed to cast for me ...
  10. looks like the photo covered the text this is the rare UMI resin kit of the Barchetta produced by the late Michael Quarterman ...
  11. the kit is the late Michael Quarterman / UMI resin kit - very very very rare ...
  12. young man in a hurry ... Spa 24 hr race in 1949 - primary driver was one Luigi Chinetti this was one of Ferrari's first sports car wins - though not the first - the chassis was 0010 - the Lemans race winner - the more famous 22 car - was chass 0008 ... although 0010 won Spa - you'll excuse me for not modeling this car as it finished ...
