  4. I sawed off the final length of the exhausts on left and right - applied some epoxy to the eng mounts - and jammed the darn thing into the engine compartment once and for all …
  5. I needed a little inspiration here …. this was the final play of the Miami - Va Tech football game fri nite - a pile of four players in the end zone trying to grab the football - thats what the Barchetta eng bay has turned into …

And before further gluing I’m pondering the exhaust pipes - these are white metal kit parts - they are correct for the early Colombo engine - but i can’t attach them once the engine is glued into the eng bay - if i epoxy them to the heads before i install the engine this is what happens …. So …
  7. Once the fuel line is finished i dry fit the radiator and began to install the oil lines …
  8. But the fuel line does interfere with brace that runs across the front of the eng bay …. So i had to bend the line down and under - and no - this is net spec -
  9. PR - the fuel line was made by winding steel wire .009? around a random length of .015 brass rod and then slipping the wire over some yellow plug wire - think I’m using.011 craft wire here …

  11. The line is assembled loosely and placed into the carb fittings - I’ll glue it once its got adequate alignment …
  12. The hard fuel line needs to be installed before the engine goes in - its made of .050 nikel silver tube in sleeves that are soldered up fr nick silver rod and tube -

This was the first time that i had used pink for primer - but Tamiya has offered it for years - so they got the memo - from kit builders that built their F1 kits - and some builders on this forum have used it - makes the red pop … still need a little more paint on the fenders - and got to paint the door … by the way - the primer was rattle can and the color was air brushed …
