  1. Brake and clutch pedal resevoir bottles are perched on a bracket between the dash and the bulkhead - at least on the Halford 16 …. The Tamiya super seven has some very nice castings - I’ll borrow them …
  2. The cover for the dr shaft is a little different on every 16 - the one in privateer Halford’s 16 may - or may not - have looked like this … peiced together with Evergreen rectangular tube, strip, and topped with a Half-round strip - everything glued with Tamiya liquid glue …
  3. Fitting the cyl head radiator manifold pipe - took a while because it has to sit low enough to clear the profile of the bonnett …

Gracias runningman - thinking about radiators - even the best photo-etched patterns are not true scale for 24th - but i think that good patterns mite be just over the next hill - think 3D printing - William Cunningham has done it really well in this scale … how about it Decalcas ? Making the brackets, filters and pumps in the engine bay …

Olek - thanks for your post … curious - you chose as your first subject a great / significant auto that had never been modeled in kit form - so do you want to continue that theme for your next project - or try a subject that has been modeled - but not very well - and would you like to take a swing at an iconic race car ?

  8. This stuff is produced by “Croco” and is the metal screen on the UMM site- croco’s “radiator screen” is good too - but sold out on this site ….

  15. The engine position forces a kink in the left side top tube - this was actually done on the sixteens - Chapman was sometimes criticized for chassis details like this …
  16. These tube segments are temps to get things oriented ..
  17. The upper chassis tubes run back through the bulkhead - .040 Evergreen - had to re-drill a bulkhead chass tube opening to get a more symmetric tube run …
  18. Some changes to the bulkhead openings- some guess work here - because some of the bulkhead details on this car hidden are under the exhaust pipe heat shield …
