  1. The upper chassis tubes run back through the bulkhead - .040 Evergreen - had to re-drill a bulkhead chass tube opening to get a more symmetric tube run …
  2. Some changes to the bulkhead openings- some guess work here - because some of the bulkhead details on this car hidden are under the exhaust pipe heat shield …
  3. The engine bay bulkhead is made from .020 Evergreen sheet with chassis members of .040by.040 strip and some .060 L shaped strip filed back to .040 … the opening is for a pedal box - brake and throttle on the right and clutch on the left ..

  6. 4 engine mounts - 2 front and 2 back - pointing this way and that - mounts have to allow the right hand cyl head to clear the bonnett - which it does - barely … all of the mounting hardware is made from bitsandpeices of Evergreen strip and H shaped rod …
  7. The design of the Lotus 16 required the engine to be mounted at an angle - tilted to the side and off center - so that the dr shaft passed to the left of the seat - on its way to the gear case …

  15. The wheels are really a big deal - your guy’s ebay store is not always stocked - perhaps if he is doing some traveling - pl give us a shout if you see that the store is stocked again ….
  16. Light salt and light butter por favor … there are several IPMS shows in the Northeast - including one in Buffalo - and a little farther down - you could consider the NNL shows - such as the NNL east - and i think there is an NNL show still in Cincinnati ??
  17. Can’t have too many Merit model kits - right? This is the ancient Lotus XI kit - with those funny wheels / spokes scribed onto clear discs - Bought on line from somewhere half way up - or down? - Model Car Mountain - ok price - this kit is in excellent / unbuilt condition - even the decal sheet looks great - OK i know - its not usable - ive built two - planning to make a couple more … a certain Lotus Eleven Sebring entry is calling me …

  20. Ok - so now i’ve got the right side water return pipe done - it has to curve past the outline of the timing chain cover - and i’ve managed to get some more RB .015 bolts onto the inspection plates in the cyl head …
