  1. Having owned two of the these cars in 1:1, an '83(my profile pic) and an '86(stock in Black) and also building scale replicas of both, although I no longer have the real ones or the scale ones, I can not wait for this kit. I'm pretty sure the "alternate" version will be the Donk/Lowrider, unfortunately. It would be nice to see the three different styles of factory decals made available, but I'm afraid that might be asking too much. Either way I am going to need three or four of these kits when they do come out.
  2. Looks nice and sinister in all Black!
  3. Well done with nice engine details and a great looking paint job!
  4. This is a fantastic looking Camaro and the SA article is outstanding as well. Lots of great info. Well done on both Marcos, and thank you for sharing some of your knowledge for that article and every other medium in which you have contributed.
  5. That looks Super Sharp!! Love the color and interior!! Great job casting the wheels too, they look great also!
  6. What!!!??? No Coca Cola kit?? Should've at least had Coke decals for the Trailer. .
  7. In reality, yes they are pretty flaky and when "enlarged" to the size of a 1:1 car it would look pretty ridiculous. It's understandable for some to be turned off by how they look, however most folks who do use them know and accept what they look like. With that being said, I still like most of the colors in that line-up and the look, but I don't paint every car with them especially when I am going for a more accurate "factory" stock look.
  8. That is some outstanding detail work on the engine/compartment and interior!
  9. I believe you are right about various flake size. I have used four of the colors on car bodies so far and noticed that the Lime Ice and Icy Blue are very flaky, while the Mystic Emerald and Purplicious are not really flaky at all. Just do a google image search on any of the colors and you will get a pretty good idea as to the flakiness of each color. Here's my four colors: Lime Ice Icy Blue Mystic Emerald Purplicious
  10. Looks good! Diggin the color!
  11. Well done replica of the real ride! Nice engine detail!
  12. Looks sharp! Great color choice!
  13. x2. Excellent paint work!
  14. Looks good Randy! Nice job!
  15. Very nice job! Nice detailing work on the interior and suspension pieces. I, too, am a fan of the extreme/one coat lacquers as I have painted four kits using those paints.
  16. Looks good, nice job!
  17. Outstanding job on all three. I've used the Mystic Emerald on one of my builds, it's a great color.
  18. Great job on the resto, it looks outstanding!!
  19. Thanks David. I used micro mesh pads after the paint, starting at 4000, then 6000, 8000 and 12000, then Novus #2. I then applied the decals and cleared. I used 6000, 8000, and 12000 on the clear, then Novus #2 again. There are still some scratches on the clear, but I think it looks good enough for me. I haven't waxed it yet, but I will eventually after I get ahold of the Trans Am scripts and get them on. All the engine detailing is molded in except the plug wires. I just used a couple of different sharpies and traced over the outlines. I was very impressed with the details on this kit, and it was pretty easy to make it look good.
  20. Thanks! First I stripped the chrome, then painted with Testors Gold enamel in the bottle. Then I used a silver metallic sharpie on the raised parts of the wheel, then sprayed some flat clear over them.
  21. Very sharp! Looks good in that color.
  22. Thank you Carl! Thanks Lee! Thank you Jeremy! Thanks Tom!
