  1. Very well done as usual. Wasn't sure if I was interested in this kit as I have the Revell 1968 Roadster 2 in 1, but your build just inspired me to put it on my kits to get list.
  2. Yeah, some of those old MPC kits really don't like to go together very well at all, but yours looks fantastic. This one looks like it was well worth the effort. I really like that yellow too
  3. That's a stunning color combo and a really nice paint job. Looks great.
  4. That's a heckuva idea that turned out quite well. Great color for it too. Very nicely done.
  5. That turned out real nice. Great choice on the color.
  6. Outstanding job on this one as usual.. Beautiful color and it suits the Audi well.
  7. Looks great, and I love the color. Looks like a nice kit.
  8. Nice save! The added details look great.
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong, which I'm sure a lot of you will, but comparing what happened in the past Revell to the future Revell is kind of a moot point since Revell of Germany will be responsible for any new tooling and it looks like Atlantis should be offering up some re-issues of older Revell/Monogram kits. We should all be excited about this new kit and any others that might come from this, as well as the possibility of some re-issue/re-tooling of older kits not in circulation for some time. For instance, and I'm speaking as a huge 60's and 70's Muscle Car fan, the 1971 Trans Am, '69 GTO, '70 Malibu SS454, '69 Super Bee, '70 GTX and Superbird, plus the Buick Grand National and '86 Monte Carlo SS just to name a few, if indeed the sale of molds included the old Monograms. The Atlantis situation is the one I will be watching closest regarding the older molds, but any more truly new kits from R of G will be seen as great news also.
  10. That green looks awesome! Really like the Baldwin 'Vette also.
  11. As much as everybody, myself included, hated to hear about Hobbico going down and taking Revell-Monogram with it, it seems like a lot of good news has come from this. It will be interesting to see what drivers/paint schemes might be introduced in these re-issues.
  12. That is one sweet build! Very well done!
  13. Very nicely done! She looks as real as the 1:1.
  14. Oh man! Don't I wish. This is just a small sample of what I built in the 80's to very early 90's. I probably built close to 100 kits back then, and this is all I kept when I moved out of the folks' house. Unfortunately about ten years later, after being married for a few years and moving a couple of times, I foolishly put these and a few others that I had started/finished in that time to the curb. . Sorry for the picture quality, these were taken long before the digital camera/smart phone era, lol.
  15. Nice job on that. I really like the color. I just painted mine Tamiya pearl green and will get to work on it in a couple of months (one of my winter builds). You just set a pretty high quality bar for me to try to achieve.
  16. All are looking good. Real car in the background looks good too. I don't want to know how your arm feels, I primed two bodies and a few parts in one day recently and it felt like my wrist was going to fall off.
  17. That's the plan at least, whether it works out is another deal altogether, lol.
  18. Absolutely, one can't control the weather, and humidity plays a big factor also. I bought a can of each, fine white and fine light gray, last year. I used the white on a '69 Camaro i finished earlier this year in TS-12 Orange and on the '78 Corvette because I was worried about the color being too dark even though it still turned out darker than I was going for. Because I ran out of white, I used the light gray for the yellow Cuda and pearl green '62 Corvette. The yellow did not cover the lt. gray very well so I will have to buy another can to finish, but I'm pretty happy with the results on the '62 Corvette. I shoot everything straight out of the can.
  19. Trying to plan ahead for this winter. I live in Michigan and paint outside in my shed, so basically once October hits I'm done painting. I actually painted the '79 Trans Am Testors One Coat Icy Blue last year and cleared it this year. It's been on hold while I debate what color to do the interior in. The '34 Ford Roadster Pickup is done in Testors One Coat Mystic Emerald. The '71 Hemi Cuda is done in Tamiya TS-34 Camel Yellow. The '78 Corvette is done in Tamiya TS-55 Dark Blue. The '62 Corvette is done in Tamiya TS-60 Pearl Green. Not shown is a '66 Shelby Mustang GT350 that is waiting to be primed and painted in Testors Burgundy Red Metallic Enamel.Hopefully I can get them all done, though I might start on the Truck sooner rather than later.
  20. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I just need to be more patient with my builds, my Willys was only my fifth finished kit after more than 20 years away from building, and I was really just too anxious to get it done.. I'm still learning a lot and I gotta say your build is teaching me a lot. Looking forward to seeing this one done.
  21. That interior is absolutely outstanding! Sure beats the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH out of mine in my '41 Willys. Shows me I have a long way to go as far as imagination and detailing are concerned.
  22. Nice build! Mean looking car with a nice two-tone paint job.
