  1. Nice looking Chevette! Never thought I'd hear myself say that, lol!
  2. Looks good in Gold, nice work! I found that Testors Enamels take forever to dry so I haven't used any since about 5 or 6 builds into my return to the hobby five years ago.
  3. Thanks guys, much appreciated! I seriously considered taking some pics without that big wing, it sets right into the mounting holes and isn't glued on. Ken, Thanks a bunch for all the compliments! About the photography, I wish I had some secrets of the trade but I just adjust the zoom on my phone's camera and the distance from me to the subject until the whole subject looks clear and snap the pics, lol.
  4. Here's my take on the Revell Chevy Corvette C7.R. The paint is a custom mix using Folkart Blue Topaz with a little Delta Ceramcoat Navy Metallic added in, while the lower portion was taped off and sprayed with Anita's Glossy Black. I cleared it with Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss Clear and wet-sanded with 8000 and 12,000 grit, polished with Novus #2, and finished it off with Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. I used the kit decals for the stripes, but didn't want to use the race livery decals as I was going for more of a 'Street Racer" look. This is more of a simplified kit with only 64 parts, so details like any kind of a suspension or drivetrain, save for the engine, are not there. Nevertheless, it fits together pretty well, was a really fun build, and will look pretty good on my shelf. Thanks for looking!
  5. Very nice pics of that awesome Pro Street Fairlane!

  13. Nice Chevelle!
  14. Looking mighty fine so far, and that's a great color!
  15. Thanks! Yes, the wheels and tires are from the kit, there's actually three different sets of each. Thanks!
  16. These body styles are sorely lacking from the model manufacturers!
  17. I have the 21 ft. Tag-A-Long Trailer that I haven't started yet. If anyone wants to see any pics of the parts layout, I can post them here.
  18. Great stuff upcoming! Thanks for the pics Tim!
  19. Very nice looking MG!
  20. Thanks everyone, much appreciated! Thanks Bill! The interior pics were really pretty easy, I just positioned the camera lens close to the window opening, adjusted the zoom to get it clear and took the pic. These new cameras with auto-focus really make things much easier than they used to be.
  21. Good looking Mustang!
  22. Looks good Snake!
  23. I'm all finished with my rendition of the Monogram 1978 Chevy El Camino. I painted it with a mixture of Chroma Molten Metals Copper and Folkart Black for the Copper, and I just used Stynylrez Black Primer for the Black. It's all cleared with Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss Clear that got wet-sanded, polished, and waxed for the final finish. I scratch built door handles and window cranks for the interior using pieces of strip styrene and a couple of slim discs cut from a toothpick. I also added heater hoses, spark plug wires, door locks, and valve stems for extra detail. I sprayed a couple of coats of Tamiya Smoke on the bumpers and wheels to knock the shine down a bit, and used Bare Metal Foil for the trim. Even with the extra parts for the 3 'n 1 options, it's still a fairly low parts count kit. There's not a lot of details and it's a fairly basic kit, but everything went together pretty well for a fun and relatively easy build that does look pretty good when finished. Thanks for looking!
