Looks excellent!! I did mine in the same color, I think it's the best looking of the factory color choices for the Boss 302.

Thanks for the great compliments everyone! -
I finished the '29 Model A Roadster this morning and was able to get some outdoor pics as well. What a great kit and an absolute blast to build. A couple of firsts for me on this one were opening and hinging the trunk, and using flame masks for the flames. The color is a custom blend of craft paints, the flames are Createx Pearl Silver, Anita's Galvanized Tin, and Decoart Obsidian and were done using flame masks. I cleared it all with Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss that got the wet-sand, polish, and wax treatment. The interior is Apple Barrel White and Apple Barrel Admiral Blue. I used Tamiya Clear Blue on the shifter knob, and white embossing powder painted in the Admiral Blue for the carpet. I wired the engine and added a MAD Modeling Accel Coil for extra details. I also cut 2 pieces of 1/8 styrene tubing and sprayed Molotow Chrome on them for the exhaust tips. I made a few mistakes with the flames and masks, but overall I'm extremely happy with how this one turned out and hope to do a few more. Thanks for looking!!

Yeah, my mind's running on how I can use those kinds of things in a model car kind of way. I think they might be a little big even to use as a megaphone exhaust tip, but I think I might try. My goal for painting them different colors is to drill holes through them and run a chain, or cord to look like rope through them, to surround a car for a "car show" type of diorama.

Looks great! Those colors are excellent together!

I applied the tiny decals onto the tiny gauge cluster and used the eyeball decal for the horn button. I also noticed that because I wired the distributor the firewall didn't sit quite right. I ended up grinding a little bit off to get a proper fit. The inside of the firewall looks kind of ugly now, but it won't be seen so no big deal to me. For a little side job for myself, I primed and painted some of my diabetic needle covers to look like decorative obstruction cones for a possible display idea. I should have been saving them over these past couple of years as I will be painting more in different colors, but I can save about 8 per month, so every month I will be painting some in a different color.

Well done! My understanding is that those are pretty underwhelming kits, but yours looks pretty good!

Very cool and very nice!

I got some work done on the rest of the Revell '29 Model A Roadster while the clear cures. The engine is done and installed, I finished the front and rear suspensions, and I put on the wheels/tires. I had contemplated a set of Pegasus wheels for it (first 2 pics), but ultimately stuck with the kit rolling stock. Somehow, sanding the tire tread eluded my mind, and with the difficulty I had getting them on, they'll stay "showroom new", lol.

Me too. There is definitely a learning curve, but once you get them down they work very well. I have used the Tangerine, Silver, Plum, Turquoise, and Magenta Pearls so far.

Looks great! Tamiya Maroon is a really nice color.

Very nice! That's a sharp looking blue, I'll have to get some soon.
