  1. Champagne and Mica Red sorta like this..... thanx...Revell Ferrari Superamerica
  2. Thanks...It will be either a tu tone or tri tone, base will be champagne gold ...still drawing up the other colors The way I usually end up is how my masking works out....IF my fingers can follow my brain a KILLER tri tone will show up! When my old hands don't work well a stunning tutone will follow!!!
  3. Did a little more unseen bodywork and put it in the booth for a gloss white basecoat .after the dehydrator inspection showed only a few poor spots to sand out before I shoot COLOR on it...you didn't think I would leave it white????? DIDJA????? note the full rolled pan!!
  4. Not at all....take to your oil change place or your garage when you get your oil changed...They will recycle it for you!!
  5. Agreed...He thinks LG stands for " looking good!"
  6. Then agin I'm not from the hood....just a hood ...Then agin I'm a PACKER FAN and I don't think i'd be welcome after sunday night in Chitown............ and YES to BOTH!!!!!!
  7. Good Enamel.....sorta like military intelligence.......certain words just don't go together!!!! If you want a Paint that POPS HOK Tangelo pearl is a great lacquer choice.Boyd's and Kustom Kolor both made an orange pearl. If you must do enamel then Testors Competition Orange is bright , but not a pearl. Jacquard does make pearl powders and I mix them in clear and apply over the color coats, and under the top clear. These show your colors...The panel is Testors(dried in 6 weeks) the camaro is Tangelo with extra yellow and gold pearl flake As far as the old paint on top of each other...The rule is Lacquer, Enamel, Acrylic with the base as lacquer That said I've painted and cleared with lacquers over enamel and acrylics...yes there is a trick you can learn!! the yellow on this is Tamiya acrylic with Duplacolor lacquer ......not a wrinkle anywhere!
  8. George his first name is Mark not Soli... Soli Deo Gloria roughly means "the glory of God alone"
  9. A stock looking 1960 starliner....Off the wall????? Bodie built a radical, yet stock appearing with the minor exception of mags and the 18" wide rear tires tucked in. What made it radical is the blown 500 HP 2005 Ford GT motor stuffed under the hood! I'm lookin at a kitbash using the frame and suspension from the '40 willys but where to get that motor?????? and after seeing how BIG that motor is..no subs are close! http://www.bodiestroud.com/completed/
  10. An Oak bed with polished stainless steel strips would be sharp and easy to model. I built a bed for my '34 on this forum with wood and styrene I beams. The MM metalizer is easy to use and buff for a nice shine. try here.... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...ost&p=81800

  21. Gotta agree with Izz Solder or plastic rod...no kink bending. Use rosin core or solid solder..no acid core CA will fog!! use elmers or epoxy I use solder with a few tricks.... 1) roll it flat on a piece of glass 2) polish it when flat...get some gloves to work in 3) drill out the head then put the tube thru a flange (if wanted ) and mount to block(I work fire wall to front) 4) bend slowly for shape...rebending looks awfull I also admit quickly it took 5 or 6 tries for my first set!! Both of these are SBC motors w\o flanges
