  2. Dry time is a couple of hours per coat. (brushed on). Paint is Tamiya Smoke lacquer,3 thin coats. with lacquer I wait 20 to 30 min to unmask.
  3. I suspect your problem is Yahoo....It will take over everything...just like Google...I have McAffee and it blocks all that garbage from coming in. I actually eliminated "Google Chrome" because of this ongoing issue. I love Google but ........ Why don't you go back to a restore point before your upgrade and see whats up??
  4. Eelco..screw the 1.8..pick up one of the partspack CORVAIR turbo flat 6......under a flip bed........off the wall!

  6. Not Neil ....but this Merc is painted Diamond Dust and Lime Ice by testors I like these paints although you do need clear to visually reduce the flake size...before clear the flake seem "bass boat" like
  7. Thanks Earnest...I picked up some Bob Divelys a while back and Tim Boyds firebird build got me looking at wheels. Took a set of my favorite big n littles T's by pegasis, film , and Tamiya smoke . Before: During masking: After : Before and After: Poor pix as my stand is down today....but not too bad first try.

  18. Thats gonna be one BIGG cake........
  19. If it is a genuine optivisor you can get stronger lenses right thru the mfgr. You can also add a helper loupe....The real trouble is the more magnification you add....the more you will need. I used a single eye loupe for many years on the repair bench and went stronger and stronger by adding extra loupes! After retiring and coming back to models...its the same thing all over. I use a large round flourescent magnifing light along with 2 40watt tubes overhead..lotsa light is good for my old eyes.... http://www.doneganoptical.com/optiloupe.php http://www.doneganoptical.com/eyeloupe.php http://www.doneganoptical.com/optivisor.php
  20. Can you say Roadster........
  21. You really don't need an airbrush for Future...Get a 3" or 4" SOFT bristled brush (not a cheapie) and paint the body in a couple of passes...then walk away.....do not touch but look in the corners..for a buildup or puddle...if it did then gently wick it away with a corner of a paper towel. you may need 2 coats...but this stuff works!! If you do not like it or made a boo-boo...Windex or ammonia will remove it even when dry. I have had more problems using my airbrushes with future...So I went to the brush route and am very happy...I've always used future on window glass and love it! Future is self leveling......
  22. PSSSST George get Harry .....Its ROM day!!!
  23. You want lacquer TS13 If you won't do lacquer , Then future is your choice
  24. Except that Tamiya rattlecans are lacquer not acrylic..... I do agree with that advice...quick dry and good colors!
  25. Dave....are you gonna do it in satin black with red wires???
