  1. Yep.......and DREW is here now!!!!
  2. I think your problem is ENAMEL PRIMER!! Since it is a respray don't give it up yet!! If you do not know what paint was on it then your best bet is a quick dip in the purple pond! So strip it and then wash in cold water and let dry....I blow it off and hang it up. Once dry You need Tamiya primer..white or grey. a couple of MIST coats and set it down for a day. now sand or polish till smooth and then cover it with your color. Tamiya primer is $$$ but will do the job for you,and as it is a lacquer it will dry fast...yes you can use enamel as your top color coat over it ....but why ? PS what is your name?? and where in FL are you?
  3. I like Daves work...but too much paint under. After grey sealer primer mist HOK white base (BC26??) then shoot your pearl. White base will give the brightest shade, metallic base is not quite as BOLD..really time for the spoons.....
  4. If you can fool Mr.O..........then you can fool me!
  5. I would not wait too long as once your recoat window closes all yuck can happen if you tick off the paint god. Duplicolor lacquers can be recoated in 5 min...let flash and respray...pull tape off, over itself in 15 min. let dry for 3 to 4 hours, now retape, mist clear intercoat, mist second color coats ....pull tape off, over itself as always now shoot clear coats and put aside to cure for a week . then polish and foil....Other lacquers have a longer recoat time...Tamiya is 20 min Model Master (Testors one coat) seems to like 25 to 30 min between coats I find my dehydrator does speed up dry time between colors..but if you stay within the same paint mfgr. you can really speed things up. I do like to finish with TS 13 clear and as it is not as "hot" as duplacolor I can lay it on all at once. I learned the window method here as many first class artists paint here...check out Zoom Zoom , Treehugger Dave, or Lone Wolf.....read learn and shoot!!
  6. Gotta go with Harry on this one. My LHS(snicker snicker) doesn't have the space due to R/C and Train mags..... call up Golden Bell 1/303/296/3600 and tell em Harry sent ya......Best thing you can do for yourself!!!
  7. George I do not know what it is ....but I love the headset on the seat!!!
  8. I cannot wait to see where this one will go!! I do think you should go to a tilt bed on this one ...it would show off the transaxle!!
  9. I think it was the missing front window...hard to model fiber mouldings
  10. HARRY Get up ...We need our ROM!!!!
  11. I use the index that stores my bits....predrilled in metal and it came with the bits!!
  12. Harry, I think Bob Smith was taken.......... Yep .......Welcome to our nuthouse!!!!
  13. Wowser!!!!!To make that grill as unique as the rest of it...go with Black Chrome....a few mist coats of Tamiya smoke... keeps it shiny but not blinding!!! That Hemi is perfect with the quads!!!
  14. I'm feeling the Green!!!
  15. Such a nice YOUNG man!!!!!!
  16. OH DARN....the bidding is closed
  17. Interesting choice for a power plant....that magneto is as big as both cylinders combined!!! but I have never seen that motor modeled...
  18. Get outta bed Harry....Its ROM day!!!
  19. After reading this , the only question is why use Purple Power when DOT 3 brake fluid works so well? I take my old brake fluid to the oil change place for recycling.......
  20. AMEN BROTHER....Godspeed and hurry back!!!!
  21. Are you serious or just nuts??? If you are serious could you please explain????
  22. I brushed this product on but the label said to airbrush it ..thin with water...as I was doing wheels it went smoothly. The mask is blue when wet and drys clear. in cracks and crevices I would put it on thick...very thick..it should pull off quite well I will do some more wheels and underhood details....neat stuff.
  23. But have they been seen together???????
  24. Hope dinner was good!!!! You can use alcohol to thin it but I find tamiya x20 works much better and cleanup is better than 71% isopropl I do not know why I suspect x20 has something to slow down evaporation...I don't really care why....it just works. I buy x20 in the big (250ml) size....let us know.
  25. Ahhhhh Tom...this is not ROM.... WHAT???? thats a model???????? Never Mind.......... SWEET!!!!!!!
