  1. A humbling experience watching the master at work!!!!!!
  2. I guess I got lucky. I have and use a Cheap Harbor Freight airbrush compressor..fixed psi with an water trap...no tank. It sprays at 22 psi without pulsing for hours on end. I Also have a larger Harbor Freight with a 2 gallon tank.It is used for Auto Air water based that needs 60 psi to spray correctly, Between both I have less than $125.00 inc shipping.
  3. Tom PM zoom zoom....he did this a while back

  9. Dirk, were you using Vista before ?
  10. Dave hit it right on the head...if it is just a small bit...straight works for me...when I'm doing a lot of area, like a subframe I like to make it flow and keep a wet edge.
  11. You got mail......and the rear view is kool!!
  12. It took me almost two years learning to solder , from torch to resistance irons. What your best choice is to find a good soldering video for wiring. Once you learn how to heat flux and flow, you can move on to double joints and heat sinking....it is easy..just takes a little time
  13. Too cold and so was the paint.....warm it up, (can hot) in running water, shake very well, pull back a bit and put on MIST coats.....realllllly thin, if its cold testors paints shoot thick and heavy....where I come from cold is 60 degrees! I decant most testors paints as they are a bear to get on in thin coats....love the paint. ..the nozzles suck Now the metalizers don't give me problems.....go figure!
  14. and if you slip a piece of rod or sprue thru it you will have fewer burrs inside :D
  15. Looks Great Billy!! :D
  16. It will shrink if used as "filler" . But for pinholes and the like it works well ...more like a real thick primer. Tamiya also has a thick liquid surface primer that also will work.
  17. I agree, pick up some X20 a thinner I use a piece of plate glass and drop a couple drops of well stirred color and add a drop or two of thinner and then work the brush though the two and pull your paint...its hard to explain, but you will know when you get it correct!!!
  18. Using full editor on the first post ...title and /or subtitle
  19. use one part finishing / glazing putty for pinholes....let dry overnight then block it should be smooth if more pinholes are now present in other places its your filler and primer reacting so let it all dry, sand it down or strip it, and re putty
  20. Bill follow this link to Kris...tell him I sent you!! MAD
  21. Old pinstripers trick...shorten the handle of your brush....It also works with BMF...I wrap a new #11 blade with tape and use it that way....good grip and the edge is right there!!
