  8. Hey Sean, welcome! My best tip is to grab a couple issues of MCM or Hot Rod etc and a note pad. Take notes, figgure what gets you going and pick up a couple of kits. Kitbashing is taking goodies from a few kits and seein what you get. This example is a Lindburg kit, all cut up, with a parts pack motor, aftermarket wheels and brakes with a leftover rear end...More time than cost!
  9. Hey Tommy, you back yet?
  10. Will use whats left. Razor saw on the lines to the center, using a flat or chain nose pliers, twist each blade a small amount. go around a couple of times till your blades all look the same. then make a narrow ring from scrap tube and glue to the rear side with tenax or the like. Mount on a straight pin as the axel....
  11. What a great group of rods.......The Jeepster was my pick..... Hosted on Fotki

    Yes brian....its plain............JUST PLAIN KOOL!!!
  16. I would put a thin coat of future on as a barrier first....I'm not sure spackle would stick....in Model RR Hydrocal is used..but you need mesh or wire to hold it.
  17. Lets never forget the POW / MIA They gave it all......
  18. Shane...have you looked into resistance soldering irons? They make slot framework so quick...wouldbe ideal here!! BTW ever try tix liquid flux and anti-flux?

  22. The idea should work...But here's a quicker way....spray bedliner aerosol in white. mask and spray, when setting up, stiple with a waffel brush(dense foam). It will dry in 24 hours, adjust color or sheen as needed, remove masking and check edges. This stuff drys tough and will keep on tight
