  1. Amen Brother....stay strong!
  2. A "poormans" panel scriber!! I prefer it over the panel scribers because the non sharp blade is done, I recycle it as a panel scriber.....2 uses 1 tool.
  3. I would start with Novus 2 or Meguires Scratch X first.....before using any solvents. HOK does have a cleaner that you wipe down the primer with, can't remember the PN.

  5. Those were for flatties......go to Jairus site....... http://public.fotki.com/jairus/1/tips-and-tricks/
  6. Do a spoon test.....I will always stick to 1 mfgr on important builds.....the duplacolor is hotter than Tamiya.....MIST COATS and you will be OK
  7. Gotta agree Virgil is an artist!......I like his shiny stuff better, but love the art of weathering
  8. Josh, Eric is correct...it is not that tricky. I generally do not do flanges...they do show up in pictures and are easy to do.Look in your stash and find a block that looks easy to do, find a 1:1 picture on Google or ask here for a link...then drill it out.....remember its plastic...a little tenax and sprue....you can start over!!! this is a SBC easy to find the ports and drill!
  9. All of the above.....and the best trick is to READ.....here ,there and everywhere models are spoken. Plains, trains, cars...if its styrene all tips will work.... Enjoy Scott and have fun....then the learning is easy.
  10. You didn't tell what clear you used....The problem sounds like "blushing" caused by high humidity when spraying

  20. Dupla color has 3 main types of lacquer based automotive primer. Sandable, Filler/primer, Sealer/primer... All work well BUT are HOT so mist the first coats on let dry and go from there....its all I use mainly as plasticote is getting harder to find and Tamiya is out of stock everywhere??

  22. SMOOOOOOTH!!!!
  23. If you GO there (Palm Beach) the prices are real....There are the nonsense , no mile $$$$$$$$$$$ cars BUT...we saw more than 25 cars go in the 15 to 20 K range and every one even with buyers premium were well bought....quite a few great deals!!! The whole market of Customs and Bikes had to back track to reality and looks like it has bottomed out finally, although the BIG BOYS still pay ridiculous prices for COPO Camaros....but a lot of that is just the drama of TV...I was surprised up close and will go again next year. The show is worth the entry fee!!!
  24.
