  5. Did the hardest part of this for me.. Making a window mount "a/c".....I used a piece of tube, a piece of 040 sheet, small length of channel, an old fan clutch ,and lotsa tenax : now that this is built I'm gonna putty and prime it so I can finally shoot some color!!!!!
  6. get it full of fingerprints and dust, then scratches when I remove the dusty fingerprints....... just tellin the truth!!!!

  11. Try the flat silicone O rings from some large R/C truck shock valves come to mind first. if you have an industrial machine repair company nearby they might have some, same part for tool oiling connectors.... not sure that grainger will stock the small ones.....good luck

  15. I agree with Bill...its a lot of work..looking great so far...if it doesn't work...you can make a killer kustum sled....
  16. The body work started out with a shave...door locks and gas filler neck were removed then holes were filled in with sprue. The detail trim at the bodyline and on the skirts and rear fenders was cut and installed. The bumper mounts were removed from the frame and remounted to the front and rear bumper pans, the duals should be right below the rear bumper..............more to come!!!!
  17. Got lots more done...doesn't look like a lot....BUT the body work is done, just a final sand and scuff then BC26 white basecoat. Floor pan is done along with the firewall. I ended up with two slots in the pan for the frame to sit into, this made a need for clearance around the pumpkin. bottom edge of the firewall was shortened also. Both were cut and then filled in with sheet styrene. As I mentioned earlier the front of the motor mount was cutdown along with the tranny mount, of course this meant I had to section the radiator.....ahhhh the lowlife!!!
  18. I have stripped future over lacquer using windex with no problems paintwise. I have not tried it on a decaled surface,I suspect evil things will occur with the decal...Try the spoon routine with a decal or two...
