  1. I've always loved the 49 Merc, but they seem kinda slab-sided and in need of chrome trim to break up the enormous side areas. What have any of you done for this? Aside from the Hirohata Merc, haven't seen to many.
  2. You know what I really hate about that ? That it's not sitting on MY shelf. Fantastic work. You know what I really hate about that ? That it's not sitting on MY shelf. Fantastic work.
  3. I really just want to add fender flares and ground effects to another build, not build an actuual Eleanor. Thanks though, I'm sure someone else will appreciate the link.
  4. Has anyone done a tutorial on the body mods for the 67 Eleanor Mustang? Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Sorry you didn't place. I guess it just wasn't "rat" enough for Ken. Fantastic work though. I really love it. I may break out my T-bird again, but I doubt it. It's "been done" now and done wonderfully. I'll move on to something else.
  6. It's good for header wrap also.
  7. I'm not yet in a place where I can build. By this time Feb I should be slingin paint. I have no idea what I'll be building yet. All my stuff is in storage.
  8. Ed, I've never really thought of you as a scoundrel, but whatever you say.
  9. Looks like a great start. Lookig forward to more.
  10. I think the five spokes that come in some of the "California" Revell kits might get you pretty close on those wheels. Also the Goodguys 37 Coupe has a nice set. I'll be paying attention here.
  11. Wow. Amazing. And I'd like to introduce to you "the" Clark Gable Duesey formerly owned by my Uncle Pete. This phot is on his Facebook. It has since been donated to a museum. http://www.facebook.com/friends/?ref=tn#/photo.php?pid=562435&id=1554403607
  12. Great work.
  13. Everybody ready?
  14. LOVE IT! Very original.
  15. My name is Rob Mattis and I approve of this build.
  16. He doesn't get like that unless someone else jumps his case. Just leave the guy be. If you don't like the what he builds or what he writes just click the back button and carry on. He's had some issues in the past, but that is IN the past and there's no reason he needs to be wearing a bullseye for grief now.
  17. Can we all just lay off the man and let him build for crying out loud?
  18. Okay I have a serious question here. Following a nuclear apocalypse (assuming that is the situation) we would experience a nuclear winter. A huge drop in temps for a loooooong time. Are we building assuming we are doing the fictional desert hot Max Max-esque scenario or a true nuclear winter? This would definitely change my build plans. So let me know whatcha think.
  19. "Late" 2010, huh? Okay let me see what i can come up with. Between my deathracer and my post-apoc build I've done the "guns" thing to death. I'm gonna come up with some sort of desert runner recon vehicle. Count me in.
  20. Argg! Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE this genre. I have done a few like this, you can checkem out in my Photobucket if you'd like. Unfortunately I'm not is a good place to build right now, but that might change after the new year. So I'll keep this in mind. I look forward to watching this build-off. Get those torches burning fellas!
  21. I've been enjoying this thread. Keep at it. Great work.
  22. Actually I'm just surprised to hear that acylic crazed over enamel. I've been using Krylon Acrylic Crystal Clear over enamels and lacquers now for years with no issues.
  23. Great workl Lyle. Very authentic.
