  1. With all that hood, it would be a shame not to stretch the engine too.
  2. I've done the Monogram '53 Chevy in-line, the AMT '37 Chevy and '51 Chevy in-lines. I recommend all of them. I've also done the AMT Supra 2JZ. Not recommended. The turbos are plumbed backward. I'm really going to have to put my thinking cap on for this one. I have an idea, but we'll see if it pans out.
  3. He hasn't been on since July 4. I'd like to talk to him, anyone got a email addy or phone number? Or without giving out his info, maybe have him shoot me an email? jantrix2@gmail.com
  4. It's a great feeling to get recognized.
  5. Wasn't there a third original Foose creation coming?
  6. Only if you look like Linda Vaughn in the Gumball Rally.
  7. That's about as good as it gets. Marvelous work.
  8. Yes. I will start the thread a few days prior, so folks can post up their un-started work and check out the rules. I have several options for my build. Looking forward to it. I'm going to start working on the new hobby room here soon.
  9. Please check out the 2018 theme poll thread. We have a winner. That's it folks, I'm out. Thanks again for Lunajammer for taking over as grand marshall. I'll see you next year.
  10. Okay guys. Based upon the results after the poll, our results stand thusly - Vans 8, In-Liners 10, with Foxer voting for both. So I'm gonna call it here, rather than drag this on any further. In-Liners win. Our theme for 2018 is in-line engines of ANY variety. Transverse, slants, diesel, modern, vintage, foreign, domestic. Any configuration as long as ALL cylinders are in one row. Lets get planning.
  11. Tom, Bill, great advice. Thanks for chiming in. Much appreciated.
  12. I'm kind of torn here. I originally voted for vans. But I also have a great idea for an in-liner. I guess I'll go with vans.
  13. This would be my recommendation. Also recommend adding a stock car chassis. It takes some work to get them to work with the kits interior, but it looks great because the low racing style stance is set.
  14. We're down to two options. Please return to the poll thread and reply with your preference. Vans or in-liners.
  15. Not a bad idea. Rather than another thread, lets just take a show of hands. Please post below. Vans or in-liners?
  16. Don't forget our Asian manufacturers for the van concept. They have some interesting stuff. Between vans and panel trucks, there are more options than you think, you just gotta look around and get creative.
  17. Obviously you don't know Zenrat that well. Trust me, he's planning for that.
  18. I'm glad you asked. I'm inclined to say no. In my opinion, that is clearly a sedan delivery. Sedan deliveries are based upon a passenger vehicle. Basically a paneled in station wagon. Panel trucks are based upon a pickup platform and are more in-line with the van theme. Please do a Google Image search to see the difference between a '38 Ford sedan delivery and a '38 Ford panel truck. Of course this is open for debate if you wish, but if we wanted sedan deliveries we should have picked a wagon theme. Nope. Go for it.
  19. I must commend you on that decal and application. It looks painted on. Very nice work.
  20. I think Dave is suggesting that that's the view y'all should get used to seeing.
  21. 25 Votes so far. Not bad. Since there's only two votes between first and second, I'll leave this open for another week or so to make sure everyone who wants to vote can.
  22. You're right. No one will give that a second look.
  23. You guys are killing me.
  24. I dig it. Nice work.
  25. I've seen worse. I think the body is so smooth (no door lines) that it ends up looking cartoony, which I've never appreciated even in Roth's work. The headlights are way over the top. The blower is biggest eyesore to me. He could have done about anything else and been fine.
