  1. I looked at those. I wish they'd do a better job at identifying the brand and model of the engine. Grey six cylinder isn't very descriptive.
  2. Understood. I had to trade for one also. Looking forward to seeing your stuff.
  3. I approve of that resolution.
  4. Vintage Chevy - AMT 51 Chevys , AMT 37 Chevy, Monogram 53 Chevy, Galaxie 47 Chevy line of kits. Vintage Mopar - 41 Plymouth - flat 6. Lindberg 330, AMT Deora and AMT XR6 - slant six Vintage Ford - Revell '31 Model A's These are just off the top of my head. There are lots more, european, japanese, domestic. What sort of car are you into? Maybe someone can recommend something.
  5. Out of curiosity, why wouldn't you have it? Do you sell them after a while? I'll have my completed models until I leave this mortal coil.
  6. I hear you. I specifically chose this years kit because the only mods required are an engine and wheel/tire swap. That Focus would make a nice sleeper. Are there stock body panels or are the aero parts your only option?
  7. Correct, I'm using Flickr to get them from my phone to my hard drive and then just use the drag files function a the bottom of this reply window to add the photos. Out of curiosity are the two exhaust pipes so that you can use the kit sidepipes?
  8. Ok. I'll change the roster. Work is coming along well on the Willys. The chassis is mostly painted and ready to start assembly. I have a wild paint job planned that will reflect what is doable in the 1:1 world with vinyl wraps. Whether it becomes a reality or not is ..............questionable.
  9. Hmm. I'm a little surprised we only have 13 builders so far. As popular as the theme seemed during the decision period, it seems a little light. Any potential builders being put off by the theme or having trouble with an idea?
  10. Hmm.............droids in 3 inch heels? Are these Cherry 2000 kinda droids?
  11. I did a Duplicolor paint on this one. Pretty colorful. When I posted it years ago, I got a little beat up about the flake in the comments, but I didn't care, I like it.
  12. Oh man. That one killed me. I was like, "stop the world, I want off!"
  13. Yes. I could make my own. But I have seen folks use some sort of aftermarket material that is the exact shade of blue mas the 1:1 parts. I want the realism of that.
  14. Is there a recommended aftermarket company that does the blue silicone couplers for turbo duct tubes? Any help would be appreciated.

  16. The easiest way of buying pro-touring parts is just buying a Viper kit. That would have nearly everything you need and they aren't in demand so prices should be fairly reasonable.
  17. You just can't make this stuff up. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2018/01/13/teens-are-daring-each-other-to-eat-tide-pods-we-dont-need-to-tell-you-thats-a-bad-idea/?utm_term=.3376a40553b7
  18. I think trying to create a manifold to dump equal amounts of air into three separate carbs would be problematic. I'd modify the intake to fit a single big 4-barrel or build some sort of EFI system with a throttle body (which is what I'm doing with my Slant 6 Cannonballer) would be easier and look more authentic.
  19. That looks super, Chuck. I like it.
  20. Looking forward to it.
  21. I did get some bench time this past weekend, but not a lot. I was able to get the bumper mounts from the '37 Ford ready to mount to the chassis and the body modified to allow the bumpers. They aren't a perfect fit but they are pretty darn close. Pics soon.
  22. Nothing basic about that. Very nicely done.
  23. A very good looking model. Well done sir.
  24. I've done that exact mod for a Model A. Shoot me a PM if you want to see how mine turned out.
  25. I like it quite a lot. Nice work on the chop. What are those three tubes on the back?
