  1. Outstanding work. I've seen more nearly-out-of-box builds of this kit than any other I can think of. Which is testament to a great kit I believe.
  2. This goes double for me.
  3. I like it. Keep 'er going.
  4. Wow. Nobody huh? Not a surprise.
  5. I never use anything courser than the blue 220 grit sanding stick on a model body. You can get them at any beauty supply store in the nail care section. They are easy to cut into narrower strips. Makes sanding, worlds easier than using sand paper.
  6. Try a Sharpie before spending the additional $$.
  7. Excelllent. I have a Peking to Paris racer in the planning stages using a '40 Ford.
  8. Back in the late 80's(?) these kits came out, and I bought up the Phaeton. Even then I was disappointed with the modern billet rod nature of them and never finished it. So who's built them and how did it turn out? Lets see some pics.
  9. With those blowers, its gonna need a periscope. Really cool work.
  10. This is the stock chassis. If you are gonna look for the kit, make sure it says Street Rod on the box. Thanks Jim!
  11. My attempt to modify the stock intake for EFI failed utterly. So I started building a 2JZ style intake. Here's where I am now.
  12. Here's where I am on the turbo intake. EFI and the throttle body in the works.
  13. I tried last night to drill the runners on the stock intake for the EFI system, but that didn't go so well. So I have a new plan. I'm going to scratch build something like you might find on a 2JZ or other modern car with a throttle body. OLD PLAN NEW PLAN
  14. Gary, happy to have you. Just FYI for anyone considering joining us, there is NO official start date. You can join this CBP up to 48 hours before the end of the build off.
  15. I really like that. Great work.
  16. You aren't the only one. Lots of cars like this one sold on Barrett Jackson recently for big, big money.
  17. If it wasn't for the terrible engine/chassis, this kit would be a favorite. I had a good time with mine. This kit has a lot of possibilities.
  18. I like this idea. A Paxton or even two, ala the Super Snake Cobra, would be a good period piece. A question on the period turbos. Intercoolers back then?
  19. Happy for the team who worked hard. But after seeing the reception the Vikings fans got at the playoff game, from the Philly fans, and the destruction that followed the Super Bowl, by "celebrating" Eagles fans, the fans didn't deserve it.
  20. Outstanding work. With the pro-touring theme I was surprised not to find a modern engine.
  21. Very convincing. Looking forward to more.
  22. I really dig the plan, especially the unchopped top. Looking forward to seeing it come together.
  23. My first outing with Molotow pens. I'm impressed. Working on the little engine bits.
