  1. The possibilities are just about endless. Good luck with your build!
  2. My local one looks just like the one posted above...even with the same selection of kits. I've stocked up using 40 - 50% coupons. There are no other hobby stores anywhere near here so I find Michael's handy at times..
  3. Clean! The black paint looks great.
  4. Sharp Challenger. Congrats and good luck with it.
  5. I stopped in to my local one last weekend to pick up a Revell 49 Merc for parts on a 50% coupon. I usually check in every other week to see if anything is new. Looked like they sold quite a few kits for Christmas. I thought that was a good sign.
  6. Sharp detail. I did a double take on the Caddy....it looks 1:1!
  7. Now there's a kit you don't see every day. Very cool!
  8. I really miss the old Pactra 'Namel. Their flat black bottle paint was great. It covered very well and dried flat. I still have a few jars of other colors from the day but I used the last flat black I had and so far just have not found a comparable replacement.
  9. I've been building since the early 60s and I noticed most model enamel bottle paint formulas changed somewhere in the 90s. For whatever reason or whatever was changed they seem less effective. I find them today to be thinner, more translucent, dry stickier or more slowly, don't cover that well and the flats are not so flat as they once were. Kind of like there's less pigment in the mix. The good old days
  10. Santa dropped these off for me on his way over to the grand youngins'.
  11. True, but the basic bones of the Little Deuce are still there. I was surprised to see Little Deuce decals on the sheet in this kit.
  12. Nice work. you really captured the look and feel of the 1:1.
  13. Double post...delete
  14. Thanks guys! I appreciate your good words. As I've said before and I'll say again....I'd like to see Revell reissue this kit in original form. Once that's done tool up the specific parts to do a "Little Drag" and a "Little Rod". Probably to much to ask for a "Little Tub"? Anyone agree? Would you buy one or all? I darn sure would!
  15. Finally finished this one up yesterday. I built it from a bunch of parts I had left over from a previous box art resto I did a while back. I didn't buy anything for it, just used what I had on hand. It was a challenge and a lot of fun watching it come together. I used an original windshield assembly in as found condition as a nod to this model's humble beginnings. Thanks for taking a look. Comments welcome.
  16. I listen to my SIRIUS radio mostly, 60's, Classic Vinyl and Underground Garage. I have hundreds of CDs but I prefer the spontaneity of radio. I always have the TV on too but muted most of the time. My bench "media center".
  17. Once again I am amazed at your creativity. Those tail lights are just brilliant! I'll definitely be on the look out for one of those piggy banks. Thanks for the tip!
  18. Very nice work, detail and subject. Excellent photography too!
  19. Elegant! Well done.
  20. Very well crafted classic replica. Exceptional work and subject.
