  1. This sounds like fun...I'm in. Good work everyone! Here's my current resto project: Gonna make it look new.
  2. Any paint works only as good as it's preparation and application. I've had excellent results with both, but then I have good results with Testor's too. Your choice. Experiment and practice.
  3. Excellent build! FYI the last time I looked MCW lists a color called "mink" for this car.
  4. Hey Gus, I had one too as a youngster and the styrene was a light gray like this one. No Chrome!
  5. Nice work, I like the antenna farm. Good detail.
  6. Either way, if they put some new parts in there I'll buy one just for that. If not..well I have still have a few of the roadster kits in my stash.
  7. I like these American Classics too and I'm working on collecting them all. Not Monogram but I like this one. I was lucky to score a mint original . This is a scan of the box I have.
  8. Too funny. Definately need those here in NW Florida, the land of the "rolling road block" .
  9. Any new kit choice is good news! Looks doable with the existing Deuce molds and some new specific parts added. I don't see much "Rat" in this roadster though!
  10. Thanks all! I appreciate your comments.
  11. Thanks, I put a 430 in it from the 66 Continental kit. Trip carbs and manifold from the parts box with Alcladed valve covers.
  12. I started this build as a friendly challenge on another forum, working on it when I had the time. Here's what rolled into the shop-a rare six tail light AMT 60 T-Bird. After about eight months and more than a few trials and tribulations here's what I ended up with- I totally enjoyed the build and got a lot of satisfaction bringing this old glue bomb back to life!
  13. Everyone is stupid to someone. Long as the shipping fee is reasonable and I get my item quickly, in good order and it's what was represented I'm a happy camper. They could use Western Union and the Pony Express for all I care.
  14. It's all about the fun! Nice job.
  15. I did this '67 with the Duplicolor mentioned above. It's a good match.
  16. Great old cult movie, one of my favorites. Is it just me or did Tina look a little old to still be living with mom and dad? Love the Vette. Lank Daley was cool
  17. Wow those fins look good there. Cool concept and execution.
  18. Very Nice, the scallops look great.
  19. Superb detail and execution. Very well done!
  20. Beautiful build! Perfect color choices too. Nice job. I'll be looking forward to this resin one mentioned above as this kit is on my grail kit bucket list.
  21. Just got mine in yesterday, here's what's in the box. Looks like a straight repop of the original issue except for the tires. they look re tooled to me but I like 'em I like it, but then I'm old and this kind of stuff appeals to me. I hope they can do more of the early kits like this!
  22. Great job Bob! Just gotta love these vintage box art builds. Glad you got 'er done before the reissue lands. Keep 'em coming!
