  1. Thanks, John!! What's funny is that I was stuck on what to do with the seats in this one for a long time. At one point I put it all back in the box and set it aside for several months. But then it came to me one day while I was perched on the porcelain throne.
  2. Thanks for the compliments! I meant the body portion of the interior (headliner, trim around the window openings...). The interior tub is done.
  3. Clay, I use Fotki. Use of the links necessary for the forum are only free for the first 15 days. After that it's $30 per year. As I understand it, PhotoBucket is still a fully free service. Regards,
  4. I'm pretty sure that there's a club in the Sunnyvale area. If I recall, it's run by Steve Hinson. You should be able to send him a PM from here to get more information, or track him down this Saturday at the NNL West. Regards,
  5. If you accidentally press "Add Reply" twice, it'll post it twice... Fortunately, there's an option to delete a comment...
  6. Thanks for the compliments, guys!!...and Molly, too!!
  7. Yep, another cool rat!! The radiator grill fits the car perfectly!! I can only imagine the sound of it with those short exhaust tubes!! Kind of like a Spitfire airplane!! Keep up the great work, my friend!!
  8. That's really cool, Kenny!!
  9. Hey Curt, maybe I'll have to get you to build my FXX for me!
  10. Hey Jonathan, you must really like it...you posted twice!!
  11. Looking good, Brendan!! The finish line is in sight!!
  12. I'll second that!!
  13. Brian, This build is coming along very nicely!
  14. Looking good, Cal!! Red looks really good on a Cobra!! Later,
  15. Yeah, sometimes I do spend too much time here "yapping" with you guys... But, that's half the fun of the hobby for me!
  16. Thanks for all your help on this one, guys!! I truly appreciate your comments, suggestions and support in getting this one DONE!!
  17. Thanks, guys!! Yeah, I was hung up on how to do the interior on this one for a long time. The custom front seats from the kit suck and they look nothing like the rear seats. These are two sets of front seats from the AMT ‘94/95 ZR-1 Vette. The rear ones were actually pretty easily installed. Just a little nip-tuck and they were in. Yeah Bill, I'll try not to get any oil stains on the interior. (I guess it's time for me to make a new photo base ) Later,
  18. The BMF is about 3/4 done, but I'm finished for the day. The suspension is lowered as far as it can go, the brakes have been converted to discs and the Big-n-Littles are on. Other that the handles and cranks on the door panels, the interior is done. I'm going to try to have this one finished in time for the NNL West next Saturday. I still need to finish the BMF on the left side, install the glass, the headlights, the taillights, the grill, a few details in the engine bay and paint the interior. It doesn't sound like much, but it always amazes me how long it really takes... Later,
  19. Nice reproduction, Ron!! Boy, those old cars sure suck up a sheet of BMF!!
  20. It looks pretty shiny!! Is that a keeper or a test mule?
  21. No, that's too far for me to drive on a weekday...especially after driving 100 miles to work and back...
  22. Like you, I use the Sterilite containers for the small stuff. I have 10 of the small ones for model parts, decals and supplies, and one of the big ones for magazines, small books and printer paper. For the bigger parts, like bodies and chassis', I leave whatever is leftover or spare in the original box, mark it on the side as "Parts Only" and put it out in the garage.
  23. Worry not, Marine...what you bought will work fine for now...and reinforcements will soon be on the way. It's all part of the learning process. I too used to use the Testors enamel paints until my friends pointed me to the other stuff. Later,
  24. I really like the Hemi 'Cuda! That was one of my favorite body styles from the early '70s. The saw is pretty cool, too. They come in really handy for chopping tops and such. We've got to get you hooked up with some of the Tamiya acrylic bottle paints and some of the Testors lacquer spray cans as soon as we can. With your young son in the house, you and Mrs. Jones will like the Tamiya acrylic bottle paints a lot more. They're water-based, so they don't have the strong odor and you don't need enamel thinner to clean the brushes like the Testors stuff. You'll also like that it dries a lot faster. I'm working with a few of my "sources" to get you hooked up next week. Be on the lookout for another box of "stuff" soon... Later,
  25. Hey Clay, what happend to the A1 sauce? Don't tell me that you used it to "spice up" the color of your Super Bee!
