  1. Yeah, I'm still taking Jerry to therapy once a week for that one! He caught that "bug" from my friend Alan Monthei. Fortunately, Curt and I had taken our vacination before we visited Alan that day!
  2. The newest, (and only remaining), of the LHS' in my town to give it a go is a HobbyTown USA store. They've been here for less than 2 years and have already been burglarized 4 times. Recently a guy was walking to the counter like he was giong to buy an RC car, but bolted out the door at the last minute to a waiting car. When their lease is up at the end of 5 years the owners will probably try to sell the business. Like Hobby Lobby, HobbyTown USA is a franchise that I think cost them $250K just to get started. It's a noble endeavor, my young friend, one that I have also considered. Maybe if you strap a minigun to your side you can at least ward off the robbers!
  3. I'd be packin' a minigun! It's sure to detour!
  4. Looking good, Ismael, looking good!!
  5. With the time available, it'll right from the box with a few PE bits thrown in just to keep it interesting... Now, if you want to give me about 6 months...then we might have somethin'.
  6. With only low voltage and amperage I'm sure. (Yeah, right!) That's too funny!!
  7. Well, this certainly won't be the first model contest that I ever lost! Sleep? I thought that active duty Marines NEVER sleep. My bench is in dire need of a good cleaning, but it doubt that'll happen until after the NNL West.
  8. Clay, Those are some serious F~~~ing meats!! I'm glad that this is only a model building contest and not a drag race or I'd have to concede at the starting line. Which reminds me, I still haven't taken mine out of the celophane yet!
  9. Hey Brendan, where did that one come from? Yep, another very cool looking ride!!
  10. Another very nice build, Brendan!! I'm looking forward to seing it on Saturday!!
  11. Thanks, Guy! I'm glad that you like it. The paint is Testors 2 part lacquer (base and clear coat). After the clear coat, it was sanded with 2,000 grit, 0000 grit, then polished. I watch way too much TV. That's probably why it takes me so long to get anything built.
  12. Well Hossain, if anyone can do the FXX justice by applying the multitude of carbon fiber decals that it calls for, you're the man!! You're the only guy I know that can decal a scale basketball without having any wrinkles or gaps in it when it's done! Let's just remember who's display case it'll end up in when it's done!
  13. Hossain, This one's been back and forth between the bench and the box for about a year now... Why don't you stop by this Friday night and finish it up for me?! I'll have the wife make us a nice dinner, we've got a spare room for you to stay in and it's half the distance from my house to the NNL West than it is from yours!! See you on Saturday,
  14. Now that is one cool looking ride!! Can't wait to see it on Saturday!!
  15. Well, you've got your boots!! That's what Duke Nukem would resort to whenever he was out of "equipment"!
  16. Very nice!! How about a couple of engine pics!!
  17. As a true Pontiac lover, this is a great build!!!
  18. Very nice, James!! I like the suttle weathering!!
  19. I like the concept!
  20. It's not a toy and no matter how hard you try, the little plastic engine won't make it move. Mine NEVER roll!! Typically to get them pointing in the right direction and getting them aligned so the car doesn't look like it's in dire need of a front-end alignment, I always glue them in position.
  21. No problem sergeant, just keep the 50cal handy incase any "unfriendlys" come visiting!
  22. Anything in resin or PE would be great!! (Carbs, engine detail parts, brake parts, gauges...)
  23. The interior detail looks GREAT!! I also like that color on this car!
  24. Page 1? Or did you mean more pics?
