  1. With the Testors spray lacquer, I usually wait about an hour before I start to apply the clear. If there is any dust on it, I'll use a tack-cloth to clean it off before I start. Good luck,
  2. Happy Birthday, Gregg!! I hope that your back is feeling better today. You looked like you were in a fair amount of pain on Saturday at the NNL West. So, rest, relax and don't worry about getting that next issue of MCM out until tomorrow...
  3. Hey, I saw him carrying about half of that around with him at the NNL West yesterday!
  4. That's one fast looking ride, Rudy!! I bet it's a lot of fun!
  5. Thanks for sharing, Albert! I wanted to try to meet you yesterday, but I wasn't sure who you were. Hopefully we can meet next year. Regards,
  6. Now there's a kitbashing combo if I ever saw one: Chop the top on the 31 Ford down to look proportionally like a Hummer, then put on the tires/wheels, the running boards and the roof rack! Just kidding! I don't know about the Hummer because I've never built one of them, but the Ford is a pretty cool kit. The doors and the front suspension are a bit figity to work with, but if you're patient you can get it all aligned and working pretty well. Good luck,
  7. It looks like you're off to a really good start!! I really like the headlight mods!!
  8. I'll second that!
  9. Looking good, Andy!! Can't wait to see it painted and detailed!
  10. GREAT JOB, Cody!!! Keep up the good work!!
  11. You should add a pretty huge smile to that list!! That young man was grinin' from ear-to-ear everytime we saw him! Thanks, again, for the Lightning pickup truck, Michael!! It was a good day for all!!
  12. Very nice work, Don!! The color and all of the engine bay details are excellent!!
  13. I don't see why not...I still have the cellophane on mine.
  14. Very nice, clean build of a classic, Brian!! Keep up the GREAT work!!
  15. Nice, clean build, Clay!!
  16. Great stuff!! I won't use anything else. I think that they call it "one coat" becuase unlike their other line of spray lacquer paint that is a two part system, (base coat and a clear coat), this new stuff does not require a clearcoat over top of it. Good luck,
  17. Very nice detail work, Dale!
  18. Lookin' sharp, Brian!! At this rate, you guys are going to get me back into building sports cars again...
  19. I used a dial caliper to make the measurements and a razor saw, a steel straight edge and a new #11 X-Acto blade to do the cutting. I then used superglue to hold it all together.
  20. Nag, nag, nag... Remember, it's a lot earlier over here on the left coast than it is where you are...
  21. Cool!! I'll send you a picture of the body with the measurements and the instructions for where and how to cut it. Later,
  22. Now there's a young man that really likes Studes!
  23. What did you do to get the body so dirty but keep the tires and wheels so clean?
  24. That Stude doesn't look too bad off from this angle...I've definately seen worse! How does it look now?
