  1. Look at Kevin go!! I've never seen you finish so many builds so quickly!! It looks like we may need a table at the NNL just for you!!
  2. WOW!!! That is really YELLOW!! I'm thinking about painting my next build bright yellow, too. I can't wait to see this one finished!! Later,
  3. Mike, You've already got the show truck done; your '34 pickup!! All you need to build now is the hauler and the trailer!!
  4. Looking good, John!! The entire engine assembly is coming together nicely!! Later,
  5. Thanks, guys!! I appreciate all of your comments. Later,
  6. Hey Mike, Build one more, paint it the color of your '34, put a hitch on it, add a trailer and you'll have a show rig like mine! So, what's on the build list for '09? Later,
  7. Actually it's kind of cool...the shape reminds me of the old slingshot dragsters from the 60s.
  8. Well then I'm expecting to see it sitting proudly on a table at the NNL West in a couple of weeks!!
  9. Are you hitching a ride with Anthony?
  10. Looking good, Scott!! Too bad that you can't make it up for the NNL West... Any chance we'll see you at any of the GoodGuys events in Pleasanton? They have pretty big model contests with the car shows 4 times a year. Later,
  11. Actually, the blanked out grille was originally made to build the model as a gasser!! Here's some old box art. There was also a salt flat racer, but it was only issued with the special fill panels for the front one time as the "Salt Shaker". I've only seen the '37 Chevy built this way one time. The guy brings it to the NNL West show. Later,
  12. Kevin, Are you bringing this to the NNL West?! It'll be cool to see it in person! Later,
  13. Thanks, Neal!! Yeah...send me some pics and I'll see what I can do to help. I really want to see you finish that one!! Thanks, Dave!!
  14. Very nice, Peter...very nice indeed!! The stance, height, color combination and the body work are all right on the money!! Thanks for sharing,
  15. Very nice work, Andy!! It's exactly what I thought I'd see when I saw that you had posted it. Is your printer running low on ink? That might be one reason why the plate didn't come out like you wanted. Is this what you were trying to make? For 1:25th scale, I copy the image into PowerPoint as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile), then scale it down to 0.25" x 0.50". I hope that this helps! Later,
  16. That's a little blurry, but a nice pic of some really GREAT work!! Are you using a tripod? Are you using the closeup setting on the camera? There are some really good tutorials on the forum for photography, but I'm not sure how they're listed.
  17. Thanks, guys!! I really appreciate all of your comments!! I hope to see most of you at the NNL West!! Later,
  18. Now I want to see that!! There are so many cool ways to build a 37 Chevy, but my favorite is a salt flat racer!! So, what do you have in mind for it?
  19. Now there's a guy who knows how to build some cool looking GM rides!! Thanks for sharing,
  20. Thanks to everyone for your positive responses and support!! Yes, even though it's not a cat or a rat, it'll be at the NNL West. No, it will be a long time before I build another hauler and trailer rig. The combo takes up way too much room in the display case. Later,
  21. Well, after several months of design changes, several cans of Testors lacquer paint and a few bits and pieces from several different kits, this one is finally done! Most of the body mods to the truck were done in the front end; pie-cut hood; wheel openings moved forward; the roof tilted down in the front; the custom nose extension from the AMT '50 Ford grafted on. The mirrors are from an AMT 97 Mustang and the door handles are from a Revell 40 Ford. The seat and the dash panel came from the Revell '99 Ford Lightning. The seat was painted and striped to match the upholstery in the Raptor show car. The mods to the rear were molding in the tail gate, adding the lower fin and the side-opening lids. This view also shows the side exhaust that came from the Lightning pickup. With this being a hauler with the trailer usually being behind it, there was no need for a tailgate and the side opening lids make it easier to get to stuff in the bed. The 4.6L supercharged V8 also came from the Lightning kit. The front chassis clip, suspension and exhaust came from the Lightning kit. A special thanks to my friend Bernard (GBK1) for the logo artwork on the trailer. Yes, I used a lot of BMF on the ramps. The taillights for all three pieces are the "V" shaped custom pieces from the AMT 57 Ford that were cut in half, bare-metal foiled and painted. If you're interested, here's the Link to the build. Thanks for following along...and no...I' haven't decided what's next. Later,
  22. Dale, That is just too cool!! It's an awesome concept, matched only by your excellent workmanship and crafstmanship!! Thanks for sharing!! Now, what's next?! Later,
  23. Dave, The stance looks awesome!! The PE screen really makes the hood scoop pop!! Thanks for sharing,
  24. Jürgen, Very nice work on the figure!! The weathering looks GREAT!! The Charger looks pretty mean in black with the lowered stance!! Thanks for sharing,
  25. Those old cars from the 50s and 60s really chew up a lot of BMF! Nice work.
