  1. Very nice, Dave!! That is one of my favorite Testors lacquer colors!! The interior looks really nice, even though you didn't go to the extreme end of detailing. Thanks for sharing,
  2. OK...here you go: NNL West '09
  3. Thanks!! It was a GREAT day for everyone!! I got to meet several of you that I've written to over the past couple of years. I got Roy Sorenson's Staff Pick award for this one, (which is a very special award for me)...but the congrats of the day go to my good friend Jerry Cardinal for pulling in the MCM award, (given by none other than Gregg) AND the People's Choice Award!! Jerry was very humbled by the awards and is now wondering what he'll have to build next to top this one!! But, that's also what he wondered whe he won the Gerald Wingrove award at GSL 2 years ago... Later,
  4. Yeah...sometimes it's best to put the whole thing down and take a break before you make a real mess out of the thing...and sometimes it's too late by the time you realize that you should have stopped earlier... Keep up the GREAT work!! You tackle this beast and have an awesome model to show for all of your energy!! Later,
  5. Thanks, Lyle!! I've got two of those kits, but I haven't looked at them that closely. Later,
  6. Thanks, Dave!! Yeah, I've still got a lot to do to get ready, mostly in deciding what I'll take to show and what I'll take to sell. I hope that I don't so busy with all of my planning and packing on Friday that I forget to pickup Bernard from the airport. Yes, I'm old enough to remember Ed's "REEEELY BIG SHUUU". How old amd I??? Well, I'm old enough to remember seeing the Beatles debut, but young enough that I don't remember Elvis' first appearance. Later,
  7. Jason, It's too bad that you probably can't make it out to the NNL West this weekend, the theme is Cats and Rats!! This, being one very unique cat, would be cool to see with the other Cougars that'll be on display. Later,
  8. Thanks, Jason!! What's most amazing to me was that I got it all done in time for the show. Ron, It'll be good to see you again. As I recall, the last time I saw you was at Milt's NNL. See you Saturday!! Later,
  9. Thanks, Randy!! It'll be interesting to see what Gregg thinks of it. Thanks, Michael!! It's funny how some people think that it all comes together as a cool set and how others have commented that I used too many sets of Chrome T's. Later,
  10. Yep, I agree with the other guys...this looks very well done!! Welcome and thanks for sharing,
  11. I've got a chunk of pine that you could build this one from. It wouldn't take too much carvin' to make it look right. And, the way race cars were painted back in those days, it wouldn't take to much work to get that old hunk of pine ready for piant. Yes, I'm having too much fun.
  12. The chassis is looking GREAT!! Thanks for sharing,
  13. Looking good, Dave!! What, no air bags?! How did we survive until they were invented???
  14. Very nice looking chassis design!! Thanks for sharing,
  15. Very nice build, Tom!! I really like the color combo!! Thanks for sharing,
  16. Very nice build, Lyle!! I suspect that the interior door handles are also from RMR? I really need to get some of them for my builds, too. Thanks for sharing,
  17. Maybe he'll have you beat in in volume, but not in quality. He builds some nice stuff, but that little speedster of yours is awesome!! Later,
  18. What scale is the Vette? How about some more pics of each build!! Thanks for sharing,
  19. Very well built Vette, Bob!! The color and the exterior details are really nice. Thanks for sharing,
  20. The whole interior looks GREAT!! The dash is a 47 piece work of retro art!! From my experience, it can be difficult combining the right elements of the old with the new while achieving a good balance, but you've got this one nailed!! Thanks for sharing,
  21. This one really pops!! I really like everything about it!! Thanks for sharing,
  22. Another excellent build, Michael!! I agree with Bernard...I too always look forward to seeing what you come up with next!! Later,
  23. Well my friend, the only problem I see with this build is that the license place doesn't say "Raul's 29"!! This one looks like it really came out nice!! Every feature and detail is right on the money!! You should really be proud of this build!! See you on Friday!! Later,
  24. Thanks, Hossain!! It'll be good to see what you've built since I last saw you. OK, let's take this one point-by-point... 1) I'm not getting older...I've already gotten older. 2) Remember the motto we lived by when we were young whipper-snappers, "Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money..." 3) What happened to our usual table(s)...haven't we bribed our NNL buddies enough lately??? We better bring an extra box of donuts this time. 4) Why start voting for People's Choice now...(see response #1), by the time we're ready to vote, we forgot which one we like! You guys are too much! Later,
  25. Thanks, guys!!
