  1. I like the way this turned out, nicely done!
  2. Great job on this!
  3. You're right, had a brain fart in my previous response.
  4. Glad this got bumped, I missed it before. Awesome job on the build!
  5. Thanks, guys! Yup, just happy coincidence that I had the two on the bench at the same time and got to thinking "I wonder if...?" It fit surprisingly well!
  6. Looks great in that color, nicely done!
  7. I believe those cycle fenders were from the early releases of AMT's '32 Ford 2-in-1 kits. The wheels look like Mugen MF10s, not sure what they may have been on originally. They're often paired with Hondas, I'd start my search there.
  8. The last Simpsons build this year is the famous Mr. Plow. It started as Revell's GMC Snow Plow kit, and received a new nose, new wheels, running boards, a custom plow attachment, and taillights made from the plow rig lights. A full writeup is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome! With Homer's other ride: "Mr. West! You said there was a job for me!" "There was. When I called you. Forty. Five. Minutes. Ago."
  9. A couple more builds have been added to my Simpsons collection, first up is the Canyonero. I started with Lindberg's old 1/20 Ford Explorer, since it was a decent shape and sufficiently oversized to look the part. Unfortunately, the plastic was very brittle and so extremely fiddly to try to modify - not sure if it's just the age of the kit, or if they were using a lousy formula at the time. I had a Revell Cougar that was released and built around the same time as this kit that had a similar plastic issue. Converted to a 4-door, added a 3D printed nose, modified the engine to a small block V8, and used wheels & tires frm MPC's Fall Guy GMC. A full writeup is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome! The whole family:
  10. Amazing what the addition of the lower bands can do, that looks so much better. The wheels on the yellow one look much better with the extra paint, too. Nice upgrades!
  11. That they do. Fortunately, the 1:1 doesn't exactly have a flawless paint job, so I have a lot of wiggle room when it comes to the model! ?
  12. Beautiful Olds!
  13. Very clean work, nicely done!
  14. Great looking build! I have a black 2015 in the driveway, and one ofthese days want to recreate it in 1/24.
  15. One of the best builds of this kit I've seen, excellent work on it!
  16. Great looking build! I'm hoping to get to mine soon, anything in this kit I should look out for?
  17. Turned out great, beautiful work on this!
