That's cool, nicely done! Twenty-odd years ago I made a 3K from the then-current Trans Am. I still need to make a Mustang version one of these days.

Pizza Planet Truck
spencer1984 posted a topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
First seen in Toy Story, then making a cameo of one form or another in Pixar movies since, the Pizza Planet delivery truck has been on my "to do" list for a while. I started with Revell's "Rumble Rider" Toyota, mostly because I found the remains of one at a yard sale for less than a buck. Some body work, some lighting, a few part swaps and a ton of scratchbuilding later, I got this: Revell modeled the LWB truck, so I started by shortening the box and frame, then adding the appropriate damage. Also, the interior was molded with bucket seats, so I cut those out and replaced them with a scratch build bench seat made from paper towel and masking tape layered over a styrene "frame." The steering wheel was modified from an AMT 280Z, and I piled in a bunch junk to match its look from the movies. More junk was added to the back, a combination of kitbashing, aftermarket, and scratch building: Aside from a bit of weathering and the battery caps, the engine was left as I recieved it. The chassis was likewise weathered: The graphics, including bumper stickers and rear plate, were my own prints: For an antnna topper I used the Pixar ball: And just for the heck of it, I put an LED in the roof topper so that it could light up as seen on screen: Finally, a shot of it with my other 1/24 Pixar models: A full writeup of what was done is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome!- 24 replies

Turned out great, nicely done! My own still sits in the box waiting to be built, seeing this I ought to break it out and give it a shot. -
