Well as most of you probably know every now and then Hobby Lobby has a 40% sale on boxed model kits. Any time I’m in the area I check in to see if I can catch it. Last night I picked up these: $19.79 for the Boss $17.99 for the Vette

Started on the body. Scribed the panel lines and sanded. Airbrushed a 1:1 mix of Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500 Pink and Mr Color Thinner. First time using MR Hobby products and I am very happy so far.

I’ve been waiting for you to do another build with great anticipation. Looks fantastic so far. Thanks for sharing.

Nice flames. This was one of the kits I used for my 55 TLB build.

Beautiful build Chris. Looks like it’s ready to roll out onto the grid. One question. Was there an issue with the windscreen? I didn’t read through all of the posts so excuse me if I missed it. Really love these MFH kits and am planning on getting my hands on one in the future. -

You ain’t kidding about alot of decals. Coming along real nice. Clears going to make it pop. -
Models coming along nice. When I want to touch up a spot I mess up were I used a rattle can I spray a little on a folded piece of aluminum foil and use a fine point brush to lightly touch it up.

Looking good. I’ve been wanting to try and do a vinyl top. Yours looks real nice.

Almost done with the interior. Wasn’t happy with the dash so I reshot it with semi gloss black and tried again. Much happier with the results.

That Boss is well, boss! ? Very nice build.

Looks real good. Love the Air Grabber.
-
Exhaust look real nice. I’d keep the heat staining and lightly airbrush some transparent blue on the stained transitions.

After ruminating on my comment I’d like to revise my rating to an 8. I realized I was not accurately considering it is the OPs first build. It is a very nice build. I’m just not a fan of the trophy generation where everyone gets a trophy. ? Good job.

This is an excellent first build but I give it an honest 5. Please don’t take this the wrong way but I’m only giving you my honest opinion. If you want to see a 9.9 if not a 10 look up any post by StevenGuthmiller. Again please don’t take this the wrong way. You have excellent skills and I can’t wait to see more of your builds.

Man you’re on a roll. Can’t wait to see this one completed. They just keep getting better.

Incredible build. Super realistic and fantastic photography. I thought the first picture was the actual car that you were copying then I read your post. Bravo! -

This is looking real good. I’ve heard this kit wasn’t that great but you doing real good with it. I’m doing the Revell now and it seems like a very nice kit. You’re going to really appreciate it after doing the AMT. -
Really beautiful builds.
