If you ever make it to NYC, it would be well worth a visit, it's the only photographic store I've seem that takes up a whole block, sadly over the years a lot of our independent photographic stores here in the U.K. have closed down.
I've been to New York three times, only managed to get to B&H once, I've never been in such a huge camera store since, how i got out without bankrupting myself i really don't know.
Arrived this morning, Sadly I won't be able to build a replica of my Gordini, but I'll paint it in the correct Alpine/Gordini metallic blue, The Gordini name was only used in the U.K. as Chrysler had the rights to use the Alpine name in the U.K. the car is exactly the same as the Alpine, I only kept it a few years and only sold it for the new Peugeot 205 GTI.
The modified Rover V8 3.5 litre engine was not used in the production models, it was only used temporary for design purposes, the engine used was designed by ex-Cosworth man David Wood who set about designing a compact, aluminium-alloy 3-litre V6 (called ‘V64V’ because of its V6 configuration with 4 valves per cylinder).
I'll be getting one as soon i see them this side of the pond, I built the older Monogram version a few years ago, I'll be building it stock but in a different colour now MCW lacquer ship to the U.K.
