  1. Ever wonder who on this forum has the most model kits?
  2. Board with this hobby I am not said Yoda.
  3. Have gun will travel.
  4. That’s cause new quotes get posted without guessing earlier ones? There should be a rule where after two or three incorrect guesses, the poster gives the answer, and someone new has to post a quote?
  5. Do these leave a nice clean line with no bleed under?
  6. New model car kits are few and far between.
  7. Memberships are usually overpriced and overrated.
  8. And I’ve worn those batteries right down zig zagging my way around 18 holes,?
  9. Another thing to consider is the price of electricity. It certainly won’t go down in price with demand increasing. We are lucky in Mb. to have publicly owned hydro (even though it is poorly run and our taxes basically subsidize the rates) which keeps our rates low. Ontario recently went private and hydro costs soared.
  10. Body work must be absolutely flawless if one expects to have a show quality finish.
  11. I think the push to go electric is good in principle, but it should not be a forced 100% deal. There are a lot of drivers who are not car enthusiasts who will gladly drive EVs. There are a lot of city and suburban commuters who never drive long distances who would make good EV owners. If only those drivers switched to EVs, it could make a difference (ignoring the manufacturing and dirty power plant factors). There are a lot of 2 or more vehicle households that could make use of one EV if they felt the need to do their part? There are also a lot of uses and situations where an EV is simply not optimal or feasible. It is simply ridiculous at this point in time to expect farmers, truckers and construction equipment to go electric. We have a lithium and tantalum mine here in Manitoba, but unfortunately it is owned by China!?
  12. I had this happen once, but I had left the tape on for quite a long time. It was just some generic or maybe 3M masking tape. A lot of painters tapes are only meant to be used with latex house paints also.
  13. Not a famous line but….“You don’t have to leave just because my thun is thycotic.”
  14. ( deleted…too late )
  15. Yes, and it’s actually a nice kit. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/141255-revell-1960-corvette/#comment-2069549
  16. Theyselves ain’t proper english.
  17. Wow, first time I’ve laid eyes on this project. You have put an amazing amount of work into this so far. It is looking really great! ? You are a very talented builder.
  18. Reality is that everyday I have to battle my tendency towards procrastination.
  19. Nice…but what are pennies??
  20. Here is how I made some piano hinges that could be a possibility? You can also apparently buy similar photo etch hinges. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/161632-fabricating-piano-hinges/#comment-2510325
  21. Envelopes used to be used for personal correspondence, but that is mostly done now electronically.
  22. Thanks for all the tips Mark! I have never built a model with opening doors yet although I have a few different kits now. I will read the section on making hinges in the T&T section before starting.
  23. I actually got those both free from the guy who sold me the ‘55 chevy with the wrong instructions, which also had a broken piece of chrome, so I asked him if he would give me a deal on something.?? The one is mostly built and has quite a nice paint job on it, and the other one is started.
