  2. Deck the halls with boughs of holly….
  3. Thanks Guys! I will remember the tape trick for the next time……and I’m sure there WILL be a next time!?
  4. Friend, if you find yourself in a jam, you can count on me for support.
  5. Bye bye is what I say when the light turns green!?
  6. Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
  7. Well I’m not sure that the dull finish contributed to me wrecking these decals. I did go over the entire thing with #3000 before applying the decals. In some spots I just could not iron out the wrinkles, even with copious amounts of micro sol and gently rubbing it with a tamiya swab. Then I screwed one of them up badly and decided I had to remove them, but I wanted to save the paint job if possible. I found the best way was to soak it with Micro Sol and use a short stiff bristled paint brush to jab at the decal and remove it. I saved the paint job and gave it a couple coats of acrylic clear. Now I will try the white decals and see if they lay down any better.?
  8. Wish everyone wasn’t a googlexpert on everything.
  9. It never fails to amaze me how much people with too much money are willing to pay to possess something that most would consider worthless.
  10. It’s just a picture I found on the internet. I have neither the patience or the skill to do something like this. I imagine they carve one or two letters at a time and then carve the wood back to expose more lead. The train is really neat!
  11. It could also be a 283 or a 307.?
  12. Me too. I guess you’re supposed assemble it in the order indicated by the black numbers.
  13. I don’t know about the Tamiya stuff, but this is Duplicolor engine enamel.
  14. Looking good! ? I am almost always in favour of no scoops on street vehicles, but like others have said…it is whatever you want to do with it.
  15. I haven’t built mine yet, but step 10 shows the rad cradle getting fastened to the body, then the body to the chassis. Steps 11 & 12 show the bumpers going on pretty much last.
  16. I think some of the work I do is quite detailed and I know some of you on here do extremely fine detailing. Then I see stuff like this carved out of a pencil lead and it blows me away.?
  17. Audience was a British group best known for their 1969? hit “House on the hill”.
  18. Vain people, some of them at least, can be really hard to take.
  19. Well that’s another use for them besides wheel tubs and storing small parts. And you’re right, there is no shortage of them. If you don’t have a prescription for something by now, you gotta know someone who does.?
  20. Nice upgrades and corrections! ? This is going to be one fantastic looking Mustang!
  21. Tortoises are beautiful creatures.
  22. Can decals be applied to an enamel (or any) finish that has been sanded with #1500 grit? Or would it be better to lay down a coat of clear first and put the decals on that? Thanks.
  23. The infra red heater is a success…electric versions anyways, and I’ve seen versions of the motorized skateboard around.
  24. Combination locks require you to have a good memory.
  25. Logan is an old Scottish name that means “little hollow”.
